OPEN THREAD: Day 27 of the 2k8 NBA Playoffs
HIGHLIGHTS: Day 26 of the 2k8 NBA Playoffs
Gimme a J! Gimme a U! Gimme a M! Gimme a P! What's that spell?
Over in the East we've got the Pistons heading to their 6th straight Eastern Conference Finals (on a side note- where are all those clueless critics who called for Joe Dumars to blow up ship last season? Probably the same place as those Warriors fans/ analysts who are happy that Mullin and company blew up last year's playoff team with a silly trade that even Nellie has publicly acknowledged was a step back this season) and the Celtics and Cavs just protecting home court. Back here on the Wessyde we've got both of last year's Western Conference Finals snorefest participants on the verge of "gone fishing". Wouldn't it be fun to see the Lakers knock out the not-so-jazzy Jazz in front of the most disgusting fans in the NBA [Bleacher Report]?
Life is good my friends.
G6: New Orleans Hornets @ San Antonio Spurs (Hornets lead 3-2)
It's a closeout game and this is probably all you need to know courtesy of our new SBN hoops blog New Orleans Hornets blog At the Hive: The Spurs in Close-Out Games. Will the Hornets close out the Spurs tonight? Probably not, but Game 7- now that's a different story.
Post your Golden Picks and any playoff game thoughts in the comments.

With regards to the Jazz fans
I’m wondering if some of their distasteful fan attitude is a side result of Jerry Sloan and his physical, rough, knock-em around style of basketball. If your team plays with an anything goes attitude, it would not surprise me that the fans pick up on that and do the same, including the racial slurs and cancer taunts mentioned in the article.

Man
What the hell is up with this series? Other than watching a few individual players do their thing, this series has been boring as well.
West goes down with a back injury? That ain’t good

Agree with disguy
The best series this round is Jazz vs Lakers.
