Around SBN: The 2009-2010 Card Chronicle Big East basketball preview

"Several core Warriors are convinced owner Chris Cohan is considering paying off ($5.1M) Don Nelson rather than risk a players' rebellion next season."

Plus tons of juicy (baseless?) details about Baron's benching against the Phoenix Suns in the second to last game of the season: "On the other hand, there are more than a few Warriors observers who believe Nelson (with management's unspoken blessing) might've been trying to incite Davis to exercise his early-out clause July 1, 2008 in order to become a free agent. Executive VP Chris Mullin could certainly use the $17.8M Davis would forfeit in that event to invest in rising free agents Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins, Matt Barnes and Mickael Pietrus."

wow

The words “Matt Barnes” and “rising free agent” should never be in the same sentence (unless they are connected by the words “is not a”).

Well...

If most of it doesn’t stick, that’ll leave a lot of space for his next batch.

Vecsey isn't the only one who is a little confused

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/52551/20080516/is_golden_state_hoping_baron_opts_out/

RealGM.com is a little confused where the Warriors play.

“There are rumblings in Southern California that the Warriors might be secretly hoping that point guard Baron Davis decides to opt out of his contract this summer, according to Peter Vecsey of the New York Post.”

I think

They’re referring to one of the LA teams wanting to sign Baron

Bring on the BD Show!!!

Vecsey

He’s got nothing to talk about, so he basically is throwing out old news. Save the drama for your Mama Petie. BD will be back. Nellie will be back. The dubs will be back in the palyoffs-I hope…

Only with the addition of...

JOEY DORSEY!!!!!!

Seriously gabez… the MAN is a beast and cannot be stopped. Don’t bring this weak sh*t about “I hope”. With Dorsey, we can take over the world. End of story. It’s just that simple. Make it happen Mullin.

THis guy is so bad...

He pulls so many things out of his @$$. Warriors want Baron to opt out? Ok, that doesn’t sound too crazy. BUT TO RESIGN PIETRUS AND MATT BARNES!!!! Haha, funny stuff. Maybe to sign Arenas or something like that, maybe I could believe it. I dont think BAron could even get mad about this.

Maverick Fans Just don't get it.... Dirk = Deutshland

Where?

Did Vecsey get his info?

My guess is Todd Ramasar.
