The second round is almost here! Philly's gone fishing after getting blasted last night. I guess Detroit can turn it on whenever they want to against sub-par teams. I have to give props to Philly though for hanging in there for so long. Nobody gave them a chance (rightfully so) but they hung in there and woke up Detroit from their first round playoff slumber. Detroit just dominated them in the final 2 games though. Maybe Philly was the spark to get Detroit back into title contention status. Those games against Superman aka Dwight Howard and Orlando will be a lot of fun to watch.

Make the jump for tonight's matchups.

Hopefully TMac is still smiling after the game tonight.

 G6: (4) Cleveland Cavaliers @ (5) Washington Wizards (Cavs lead 3-2)
4pm, ESPN2

Let's try this one more time. I just wished the games didn't start so early because then maybe I could watch. Cleveland takes it tonight.

 G6: (1) Boston Celtics @ (8) Atlanta Hawks (Celtics lead 3-2)
5pm, ESPN

Is this the end for the Cinderella Hawks? Do their bandwagon fans know that this is a best of 7 series? I'm picking the Celtics, but Joe Johnson and Josh Smith have proved to everyone that they're the real deal.

G6: (5) Houston Rockets @ (4) Utah Jazz (Jazz lead 3-2)
7:30pm, ESPN

I didn't think this series would last more than 4 games, but if the Rockets can pull off a miracle tonight, we go to an "anything can happen" game 7. This is the game I'm most interested in watching. I just want to see TMac do well. Unfortunately, I think Utah closes it out tonight. Booo.

Post your Golden Picks and any playoff game thoughts in the comments.

GO HAWKS

It never occurred to me that one man could play with the faith of 50 million.

The title

“biggest upset in NBA history” is not that important anyway. Right? Atlanta is cocky (Hortford, you weren’t rookie of the year, remember that), Boston(any time Posey is in during crunch time isn’t the best strategy) is cocky, either way both teams played dirty and I ain’t being sensitive. I’m biased damn it. Go Warriors, the most pleasurable upset in NBA history.

warriors

had a better feel to it because we didnt just win we absolutely crushed the mavs.

In Atlanta’s case the game is a bit slow not as exciting or loud but definitely a bigger achievement because Garnett is a absolute beast..

Garnett is an

absolute choke. Did you see that block from behind? Playing like a rook at crunch time.

Well

I’d hate for KG, RA, and PP to have to endure the criticisms if they lost. I like those guys. I’d also hate for Dirk, Mark Cuban, and the Mavs to be let off the hook as losers of the biggest upset. And of course, I’d hate for the Warriors to lose their rank as the biggest upsetters in NBA history.

So as exciting as an upset would be, I’m hoping the Celtics prevail.

I hope you all dont mind but,

I like the old site better. I’m sure there are a ton of good reasons why the change was made, but that old site was raw and authentic feeling, and the look of this page seems to structured and restricted. Forgive me as I am a huge fan of GSoM, but I miss the old site.

i

fell ya. i like what they did here to. maybe if they put all the cool stuff from this one but made it look like the old one that it would be perfect.

So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!
