OPEN THREAD: Day 32 of the 2k8 NBA Playoffs

The Truth is stepping up his game at the right time

The Conference Finals kicked off last night with a Boston win. It was expected, and I expect the Celtics to win Game 2. The real test is if they can win on the road. I believe Detroit will win one in Boston this series essentially stealing home court advantage. Either way, this is going to be a fun series that will go at least 6 games.

Ray Allen where have you gone?

G1: (3) San Antonio Spurs @ (1) Los Angeles Lakers (Series Tied 0-0)
6pm, TNT

Now this is going to be a good series. The Spurs came up big in game 7 against the Hornets while the Lakers rested at home. As much as everyone hates watching the Spurs, I've enjoyed watching them play. Sure they flop (lots of teams have floppers) but when it comes down to it, they are just so damn good. Chandler was shutting down Duncan in the 2nd half and Manu couldn't hit a shot, so here comes Finley and Horry hitting some big 3's in the 3rd quarter to stretch the lead to 15. And then Parker earning his pay coming up big in the 4th.

Now, we get to see two excellent teams battle it out. Gasol vs Duncan. Fisher/Farmar vs Parker. Kobe vs Bowen's dirty tactics. And who's going to guard Manu?

Warrior fans, throw out your hatred of the Lakers and Spurs, sit back and enjoy what is going to be a fun series.
