Tim Kawakami's Loving It!
Gotta give it up to our man Tim. He's got plenty of juicy gossip and he's in Love.

Yes to K-Lo
@ 14
No to giving up anyone to move up to get him unless it’s Kosta.

.
K-Lo has no upside at all. Def not on my list. On top of that his lateral quickness and D aren’t too good.

ill
go for him if hes there. hes such a great passer, and that is perfect for run and gun. hes better than barnes with the long pass.
So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

is TK is nuts?
KLove for Wright? I’m not a big KLove fan yet but straight up I might do that but Milw shouldn’t
But using Wright + #14 could do it & Milw could be attracted to that 2for1 – but TK’s other idea is more interesting -
the nutty idea may be using the TPE on Bobby Simmons in order to grab the #8 – if Nelson is enamored with KLove. We trade #14 for Simmons & #8 if Love is there to be picked. Simmons is a 6’6 SF who while being a 10/4 player isn’t living up to his +$9m contract in Milw. He shoots 39% from the 3pt and only 42% from the field. If we are complaining about Harrington’s contract, we’d have double the fun adding $immons’ too. Still, perhaps Simmons can shine brighter in Nelliball and we’d essentially be using the TPE to bolster our bigs by adding Love, who’s rookie contract will be fairly reasonable without losing BWright. It gets down to this: could we add a PF as good as Love elsewhere using the TPE? I’ve looked around the league and there aren’t many realistic TPE/ PF options. TK may have something here … Is Simmons such an albatross to Milw that they’d trade him and the rights to Love for BWright? Probably not, but who knows

TK is nutz IF...
he’s trading Wright (previous #8 pick) for Kevin Love. We should have more info on how good Wright is, but unfortunately we have a coach who doesn’t play rookies nor develop them.
But back to the matter at hand, I would do the TPE to get Simmons and the #8. Simmons is probably through and he’s got two years left on his contract. The last year though is 2010, he’ll be a huge expiring so it will be a big trading chip for someone interested in the LeBron Sweepstakes.

Agree with TK to some degree
The Warriors need more skill, but then again, so do a lot of teams.
But more specifically, we have enough raw but athletic players in Biedrins, Wright, and Ellis (you could throw Pietrus in there if you’d like to) who have great potential but in some ways are VERY limited in their abilities to initiate offense. Not everyone on the team needs to be Baron like, but given the possibilities of a Baron Davis injury or potential trade (god forbid unless for something amazing), we need more skilled players in the sense of passing and (potential) multidimensionality that can help our athletic players score. Then again the last time we thought this way we got Dunleavy and look at what happened. But the more I’m reading about Love and the hype, the more I am intrigued.

Mock Draft madness
Funny how the talk is now “trade up for Love.” Wasn’t just a short time ago that “Iggy” Cohn was presenting “expert witness” Kawakami as a source for why Love would be there when the Warriors drafted out of the lottery?

+1
drafting at 14 we may land someone that can help us, we may not. trading proven pieces of a 48 win team for a draft slot makes no sense.

Thank you...
All this hype about the #14 pick is starting to frustrate me… GSW has enough youth, a little too much in fact on the bench. Time is better spent considering reasonable free agent signings and/or trades (that don’t involve other draft pics) for high quality players. There is no reason to make moves just for the sake of moves. We have a great core of young and old, with a couple needs for additions at PF and backup PG, lets stay focused on those needs.

Luxury Tax
Assuming they re-sign Ellis and Biedrins, the Warriors are up against the luxury tax . It will be extremely limited about what, if any, FAs they can sign.
That’s why a salary neutral trade makes sense. Trading up in the draft would qualify for that. I’m just not sure that Love is the guy that they would want to go after.
