Another Sleeper that would fit our needs NOW
With such a great response to my last posting, I have done even more research and found one final dimond in the rough that could be a perfect sleeper pick for the dubs 2nd round choice (possibly better than joey dorsey)
With their 2nd round selection, the golden state warriors SHOULD select...
DeVon Hardin- C- California
From www.nbadraft.net..
"NBA Comparison: Darryl Dawkins
Strengths: Long and athletic bigman with great strength ... Has an NBA body, really trimmed down from a year ago and is moving much quicker... Very quick feet and explosive legs ... Runs the floor well ... Very aggressive under the basket ... With his long arms, plays big for his size ... Intimidating on the defensive end, good timing on shot blocks ... Loves to dunk the ball over guys ... Outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA in high school ... "
Nothing gets me more pumped than the idea of a bruser 6-11 C/PF who is already from the Bay. Throw a dubs jersey on him and lets get the season started

He won’t be available by our 2nd round draft pick….
if we trade up into the 2nd round, maybe, but a backup PG or Wing might be a better pick for us.

i hope he isn't
because that means someone made a mistake before us in picking him

ponder this
I think our track record on second rounders like Arenas and Ellis (I think) is a lot better than our first round picks. I say we should trade the #14 for about 5 second round picks and then use the “what the heck” draft approach. There is very little salary for the second round picks, we can afford to take chances and they show up with an attitude that makes them want to prove the whole NBA stupid for not picking them. What do yall think?

Bingo....
There it is….folks need to bow down. Good knowledge MissingHoops. Trading down gives us freedom from the high salaries which come with lottery picks. Face it, there isn’t much there for us at the 14th pick.
Other than MissingHoops’ post I’ve seen a lot of crap here. I’m still a little upset about some stupid pop up which put me down for my Chris Wilcox thread. It was then removed. Why? I don’t know. It was probably deleted by some mod who has been a fan since 2000 and who’s idea of a throwback is a Troy Murphy jersey.
This site could be much better if mods weren’t so pretentious!!

why not
just trade all our draft picks for hot dog vendors, that way we’d have more roster space to invite undrafted FA’s to camp and let them duke it out in a flaming pit of death for the seat at the end of the bench.
the stop calling him "beans" movement

Hardin: Apparently a good kid. He looks good in workouts and has an NBA body. Good enough athlete who should have the necessary familiarity with the game. No known work/motivation issues. But come game-time, he just doesn’t have “it”. They’re called intangibles because they cannot be measured-if they were measurable, they wouldn’t be intangible by the very definition of the word-, but whatever ‘intangibles’ are necessary, Hardin hasn’t got them and just sort of isn’t there.
