WALL-E OMG!!!

Stuck down in LA for the weekend and decided to checkout the new PIXAR movie WALL-E. I am a big PIXAR fan and this is another hit in their long line of animated movies.

Star-divide

Although it looks like a children's movie, just like their other recent movies (The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, etc), I think this is a more then just a kids movie. Its a FANTASTIC SCI-FI movie. Wrapped up in a animation movie, we are presented with a dark movie about a post-apocalyptic Earth. After centuries of neglect, humanity has been forced to flee Earth because it can no longer sustain life. Its basically a barren wasteland full of garbage. No oceans, no forest, etc.

Soon we are introduced to a variety of new characters, more robots, and what is left of humanity (ugh). Like most PIXAR movies, these side-characters introduce a lot of humor and are pretty memorable. My favorite character is MO.

After WALL-E was finished, me and my girlfriend were commenting on how amazing this movie is. I think this movie will appeal to all age groups. Children who won't understand the dark message behind WALL-E will love it for its cute characters and funny moments. Adults will appreciate it for its great 'love' story, and its message about human's effect on Earth. Also some people will catch the references to previous sci-fi classics such as 2001, Brave New World, Star Wars, etc.

So go and enjoy WALL-E. I am pretty sure you will have a good time.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I LOVE okonomiyaki!

If you ever go to Hiroshima, you must have okonomiyaki at Micchan: a little noisy hole in the wall with ridiculous lines day and night, but well worth the wait.

I also really like all the Pixar movies; from everything I’ve read, this is one of the best.

Sign ^^^^ !!!

Anyone ever notice that in the video for "Dude Looks Like A Lady"

the only people in the video that are dudes who look like ladies is Aerosmith and they’re dressed exactly how they dress normally.

Is that intentionally ironic, lack of attention to thematic accuracy or is the joke really on us?
