Warriors may be after Yi

Looks like the dubs could be a vastly different team come training camp. Can't wait for draft night.

"Draft Watch: Trade talk involves D-Wade, Yi, Sheed"

"Look for the Golden State Warriors to pursue Milwaukee Bucks forward Yi Jianlian strongly in the coming weeks. During last year's draft, the Warriors agreed to trade Jason Richardson to the Charlotte Bobcats for the No. 8 pick, with the hope that Yi would fall to the Bobcats at No. 8.

The team was shocked that the Bucks, for whom Yi refused to work out, took him at No. 6. The Bobcats took Brandan Wright and traded him to Golden State. While Wright played well for the Warriors toward the end of the season, they still covet Yi, according to sources.

If the Warriors were to offer Wright and the No. 14 pick for Yi, that might be too much for the Bucks to pass on. The team is in rebuilding mode and might be ready to accept a two-for-one deal. "

Also, in regards to Rasheed Wallace

"My guess is that Wallace will be the one most in play. I could see the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, Houston Rockets, Warriors and/or Bobcats making a run at Wallace this summer. And each of those teams, except the Rockets, has a first-round pick good enough to interest the Pistons."

Boy...

I really, REALLY hope that’s not true. I didn’t see all that much of Yi this season, and I know he had his moments, but his numbers are pretty all-around bad. He didn’t rebound, he didn’t block shots, he shot horribly… he couldn’t touch Wright’s production on a per-minute basis. Wright AND a pick for Yi? I ain’t feeling it.

Also, I don’t really think Sheed is going anywhere.

Hmmmm...

i thought the Yi movement was over

I haven’t seen enough of BW’s play to compare with Yi. Yi is inconsistent but he does have a lot of skill. With time he could be a handfull for the front-liners for the NBA. The kicker is the #14 pick. It’s too much to give up for Yi, sorry.

I pray i never have to use a gun again...

...unless i'm at a strip club parking lot...

...and somebody tries to run me over with their car...

...But how often does that happen??

My thoughts

Usually the local columnists are one up from the national writers. We haven’t heard anything locally.

Just like the Monta “news with going to Mephis” and Baron wanting to go East, and Mully going to the Knicks. All these “stories” were conceived by east coast writers. If there are no rumblings locally you can definitely forget ESPN AND the NYPost stories.

I like the way B Wright is developing and I really doubt the Warriors want to give up on him so quickly.

From my understanding, we moved JRich because he was making too much $$ and it was because of a potential KG trade….

Someone should start the "SHEED MOVEMENT"!

Bring Sheed to Golden State. Fits perfectly into Nellie’s system and gives us that big body banger we’ve been lacking. SHEED MOVEMENT. BELIEVE IT.

It's Been A Great Year! Thanks Warriors!

Why Yi?

I understand the obvious marketing ramifications given our bay area demographics but Why Yi? I don’t think he would be an upgrade to Wright. I would prefer acquiring Rasheed to add some puch at the 4. If you ask me, sign Ellis, Beidrins and Duhon. Our team will be better with Bienelli and Wright will blossum.
