OPEN THREAD: 2008 NBA Finals Game 2

Remember back in the 80s when these two teams were going out for the whole decade?

I don't - but I'll take everyone's word on it.

R Dizzle don't know jack about this old skool rivalry...I've heard stories, I've heard rumors, but it unfortunately doesn't bring back any memories for me.

But for some reason, I do remember this ridiculous commercial from back in the day...call it a product of being part of a TV generation.

Atma's not the only one with old skool references!

Jump like Larry Bird did back in the day!

Star-divide

Paul Pierce claims he's ready to play tonight after his "injury' from Game 1.  Funny how the man gets carted off in a wheelchair and then miraculously comes back out on the court to bust some threes.  But hey, whatever, he still looks like this

KG needs to show up and destroy the Lakers early and late.

The game plan is pretty easy for the C's - stop Kobe, stop Gasol, and they'll win!

Anybody can do that right?

Post your live game thoughts in the comments.

By the way, could Larry Bird dunk or was that movie with Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson about him?

it’s just Santa Cruz county. excellent.

I’m getting very frustrated here. I’m trying to procrastinate from studying for finals!

J-Rich

Wishes he was Leon Freaking Powe.

Maybe if Doc hadn’t taken Powe out, the Lakers wouldn’t have given me a freaking heart attack…

Anyway, great series so far. :-)

Leon Powe...

We shoulda had him in a Warrior uniform instead of the Zero Threat Position master.

They need to put Powe back in
