Possible PG's Avaialble if Boom Leaves
Stars are personal ratings on the player. Factors include Contract, Age, Potential, What the team wants for him, and so on. I personally would try to strike a trade with Memphis for Conley or Mayo or Portland for Bayless (Imagine Baron leading that squad for the next half decade). I would not mind most of these guys (List may be incomplete), but for some its best to get a veteran for them to learn from. Our Trade Assets are mainly Picks, S/T (Baron, Monta, Bieds), and our young guys.
Memphis:
Mike Conley Jr. ****
Javaris Crittenton ***
O.J. Mayo *****
Kyle Lowry ***
Charlotte:
Raymond Felton ****
Chicago:
Ben Gordon ****
Kirk Hinrich ***
Detroit:
Chauncey Billups ****
Rockets:
Aaron Brooks ***
Nets:
Marcus Williams ****
Portland:
Jerryd Bayless *****

I take Kirk Hinrich of the Bulls. That will loosen the pain of BD probably leaving.

Who do you trade to get Bayless from Portland?
Portland only needs one thing and that’s a great starting PG. The only two guys they would be interested in are Davis and Ellis.

i cannot believe
why no one is talking about beno. i’ve seen about half the kings’ games from last season, at least (free where i lived), and beno did a damn good job running the point. he plays well in important games, and buried two clutch free throws to beat the lakers in their own arena. he also has the size we need, and is strong as well. sacramento really values him, but not sure if they would break the bank to keep him. if we do sign him and let baron walk (right idea since beno is a willing passer (bd reluctant in that regard) and we’ve got a team full of scoring options), then we’ll have no cap worries also. beno is very professional, hardworking etc. he, like monta, is a guy that plays through getting paid 30 times less than baron, and does not complain for a huge extension or for any reason actually, but realizes his opportunity and tries to be a valuable asset for his team, and to put the players around him in a position to score. baron is a cancer, and does NOT make his teammates better, though it appeared that way since he is for some insane reason the only pg mullin has on his team.

yes! BENO UDRIH
will solely get the Dubz back into the playoffs. That is why the Spurs won all those championships.
Baron is a cancer? Yes he is. That’s why you should continue to root for Francisco Garcia.

Billups, despite being old, is the only PG I’d trust to take over for Baron. This team needs a good, confident floor general if we lose Baron.

also, about those other guys. crittenton couldn’t get reliable pt on the (now) worst team in the league, gordon is definetly NOT a pg, hinrich is grossly overpaid for his skillset at 10m per, chauncey is old, aaron is too small, we probably won’t be prying away any lottery pgs of this year’s draft, beno is one of the bright spots on a mediocre team that was decimated by injuries. someone tell mullin this, i have a feeling he works all day and yet seems to accomplish nothing. this will be the best, easiest signing of the summer. 6m per, and we have a great pg, a teamplayer for the next 4 seasons.

just so you know
the Spurs would rather back up Parker with Jacques Vaughn than give Udrih minutes.

Billups for Barron isn't such a bad deal for either team but...
if you are building a team around Ellis you might want to go a little younger.

If Baron is absolutely adamant about going to LAC,
Then I would look for a Tim Thomas, Eric Gordon, Future 1st rounder(s) for BD.
I’m too lazy to see if it’d work, but that’s what i’m hoping Mullin gets out of this theoretical trade. Thomas + picks is simply not enough. I’m sure there is a moratorium on recent draftees being traded. I’m not sure how long that is though.
Baron Davis
for
Tim Thomas, Eric Gordon, 08’ 1st, 10’ 1st.
Sign Shaun Livingston to a 2 year guaranteed contract for $3.5M each, with a player option for his 3rd at a fair, $5.5M (Basically his QO this year, had he gotten it).

That is absolutely mental if you’re LAC. But yeah, lets get that done. Take me to Ice Cream Mountain after for celebrations.

Heard
That the Warriors are offering Gilbert Arenas 5 years at $100M.
Check Janny Hu to get details.

It's not bull. It was reported on ESPN insider
According to a source close to Gilbert Arenas, the Warriors offered Arenas a max contract of 101 million dollars for five years

Throw the bank at Calderon
End of story. Beno would be ok, but I want Calderon. He takes care of the ball, he shoots well, he takes care of the ball, has decent size, and he takes care of the ball.

Calderon
I was going to suggest him. He played in every game last season, averaging 30 minutes per game. He averaged 11 points, 8 assists (more than Baron, though Baron played 9 minutes more), 3 rebounds and a steal in that time. He shot 90% from the free-throw line, 52% from the floor and 43% from three-point land and had a very high assist-turnover rate. As they are in win now mode, they might like to get Baron to play with Chris Bosh and Jermaine O’Neal. They may be prepared to throw in one or two of their younger players. I like Nathan Jawai, who they drafted in the second round but I’m not sure if he can be traded as I think (correct me if I’m wrong) they signed him to a contract.

sorry, but 4 stars for Ben Gordon??? He’s not a point guard at all. He’s an undersized 2 with a streaky jump shot. DO NOT take Gordon.

the gilbert thing would be a pretty good idea, but i don’t know if he has the health to run this sort of team. the cancer comment wasn’t explained. we played better with him benched actually in that telling phoenix game, but nellie had some idea that jackson should be guarding amare. i do think the team plays less selfish ball when baron is not on the floor, and he’s got a serious attitude problem in any case.

and yes, the spurs did choose vaughn. i can’t tell you why popovich wouldn’t play beno, but he had a pretty good game against them this year. the spurs aren’t infallible, they also gave scola away for beans (yet traded for kurt thomas, who cares if it was expiring), wouldn’t bench horry when he wasn’t productive, and for some reason think a bench should be filled with 34-37 yr old men. they’ve had success, but aren’t infallible. timmy d/parker make the difference.

Go young?
why not get Jamont Gordon and Javaris Critteton, you would have two young, big and explosive point guards and in a few years along with monta, beans, bwrightm AR, richard hendrix, and hopefully Kellena Azuibuke, we would have a really young and talented team.
Jamont Gordon/Javaris Critteton
Monta Ellis/ Marco Belinelli
Kellena Azuibuke/ Anthony Randolph
Brandon Wright/ Richard Hendrix
