PG idea
Call me crazy... but what about Kirk Hinrich? Al Harrington straight up for Hinrich works on the ESPN trade machine.
Why the Bulls might go for it:
- Chicago just drafted their future PG in Derrick Rose.
- Harrington only has 2 years left compared to Hinrich's 5 years.
- Chicago would probably like to get Hinrich's contract off their books.
Why the Bulls might not go for it:
- Harrington duplicates a lot of what the Bulls already have in players like Nocioni, Deng (if he stays), and Gooden.
- The Bulls GM made a comment after the draft about Rose not being ready to start right away, which might mean they're not ready to give up Hinrich just yet.
Considering the available PGs (free agents or players other teams would be willing to trade), there really aren't a lot of options. Anyone (especially if your name is Chris Mullin or Don Nelson) have a better idea?

You are not crazy.....
I thought the same thing…. Albeit without watching much of Kirk since he had Collison to clean up after him. He is tall…. he is dirty and crafty (i like that) and hes available…. all great reasons to like him. But i dont know much after that…..

Just don't do anything crazy
Hope they don’t over spend in a drastic knee-jerk reaction move on someone undeserving. (Don’t mean Arenas, he is resigning with the Wiz)
Were not going anywhere this season.
Just play CJ and let the young kids grow and get through their growing pains this year.

Yeah
You’re right. No need to panic. CJ Watson is the man!

I think that's a good trade
It seemed like the Bulls were shopping Kirk so maybe. You might as well see if Brendan Wright can actually play, after all you dumped Jason Richardson for him and a bag of cheez doodles.
A Time For Heroes,
It's not right for young lungs to be coughing up blood
And it's all
It's all in my hands
And its all up the walls
Well the stale chips were up and the hopes stakes were down

w/o baron
it’s time to start full on rebuilding. let’s see if monta can grow into at least a tony parker level point. maybe we’ll luck out like the hornets and get our cp3 in ricky rubio next year (though i think he has some 6 yr deal in spain).
i’d rather try to trade harrington next year (as an expiring) for more young talent. sjax is difficult to move b/c of his history and at least he can teach the young kids mental toughness.

Good call
Holding Harrington for one more year definitely makes him more valuable. We all saw what a $10mil expiring contract did for the Lakers this year…

I'd go with
.....Tinsley- (playing behind T.j. Ford and pissed about it I’m sure). I’m sure Indiana would get rid of his gunslingin’ ass on the cheap. I love his game and he gets along with Jack.

i see where you're coming from
but we don’t need a stopgap PG… no more bimbo coles, mookie blaylock, mugsy bogues type band aids…. baron is gone. we’re no longer hung up in a “Are we trying to win now or building for the future?”
Baron has made it easy for us – we’re in rebuilding mode.
we need to know if monta can develop into a PG this year by playing him there full time. just like tony parker was able to develop b/c popovich took a flier on the then 19 yr old.
al’s contract will be valuable next yr when he’s expiring.
yes, we’re probably going to stink next year. but if we’re lucky, we could see bd’s replacement in a yr just as the hornets did.

Hinrich PG
BJ Armstrong without the skills and savvy. 2nd rate talent

well
i was thinking the same thing too. Well, could we get something back from the clippers, for example Elton Brand. We give him 10-15 million a yr if he want.

Monta might score 26 + ppg next year
This Baron thing is depressing. I’ll always wonder if we could have won it all if we kept baron and lucked into the one missing piece of the puzzle (Bruising pf).
This was the most exciting team in the league and the closest to a title out of any of the Warriors team in my lifetime. It’s really sad. We were really the most liked team by the entire nation and I’m gonna miss our squad so much.

We’ll see now , The Clips have that PF in Brand and Baron won’t have to run his ass off everynight covering Montay’s man on defense.

yea
he’ll have to run his ass off every night covering Eric Gordon’s man on Defense. The clips are still another good piece away from being really competitive in my mind. A defensive minded wing man who can hit from the outside would be great for them.. If they could pry Posey from Boston theyd be real tough even in the West.

no to hinrich
id rather wait for Al’s contract to be very valuable next year.
in monta i believe!

shaun livingston
would be perfect if he was deemed healthy. matchup nightmare at point, especially with monta being a 6’3 2-guard.

The Clippers didn't extend a qualifying offer to him, essentially cutting ties with him
He’s fair game to anyone, but the Clippers had Brevin Knight as the starting PG before this signing, I don’t think there’s much optimism about Livingston’s health.

He’s fair game to anyone
Would probably be worth a gamble to lock him up for a bargain price and see how he re-habs.
I’d rather have a crippled Livingston than a pristine Kirk Hinrich.
Funny how a day changes everything, now Billips doesn’t look so depressing, just boring.

Chauncey Billups
Detriot has made it known that Billups can be had. Trade AL straight up for chauncey their salaries are close and he will be more than servicable for 2 years. This team has alot mor eoptions otday than it had yesterday. For the price of 1 Baron we could have one artest and one billups. We are a better tema already and guranteed playoffs.
by smearthebeard on Jul 1, 2008 8:50 PM PDT reply actions 0 recs
why would detroit make that trade?
stuckey looks good and all, but no way will they move chauncey for harrington. they give up their starting point guard for a backup forward. if we threw in a lot of draft picks and and young talent then maybe they’d consider it.
