Resign Kelenna!

Hey... I just think it would be dumb not to resign Kelenna. He was a great addition to the team because of his hustle, hardwork, rebounds, and helpful second-chance tip-ins.

He wouldn't cost that much so he wouldn't hurt our salary cap...Maybe just $1M-$1.5M a year? I don't know if they are just waiting to see how the rest of their offseason goes to resign him or waiting to make a trade with Belinelli, Barnes, or Al but does anybody else agree that we need him as a bench player??

im down for kelenna

but i still wonder if the warriors intention is to sign him or not. i really hope they do cause i feel only good things can come out of him when he plays.

give him a contract

He’s really proven himself to be useful the last two season. Although imo his stats dont really tell his story, its the intangibles and impact of his stats which really show his worth.
Those valuable rebounds or putbacks or even dunks has shown the fans his true worth to the organization.

Give him a contract! I believe he’s worth about 2-3m per year, and lock him up for about 4 years.

I would love

To see KA back next season. Although it starts to facilitate the log jam Flat-top’s throwing at us with 2’s and 3’s, Bukie is by far the most proven young player on our team (besides Monta at least)

Id like to see Keleena come back but...

He is a poor man’s Maggete. I mean he is built similar to him and shoots about the same percentage. Plus paying him 2.5M or so a year to play maybe 10 minutes is a bit much. I hate to say it, but he is most likely gone especially with Nellie not even projecting him in the line up. But who knows maybe well get lucky and resign him for cheap.

not sure he wants to come back

didnt he choose to become a FA? its not like he did it bc he would make millions more somewhere else…

but yeah if we can we should sign him…the man started and played well when jackson was out and continued to play well off the bench

he did opt out. he did do it for the money. he wants to make millions and i think he will. not tens of millions just millions. he may not want to come back though to a team that plays him at the 4 when he should be a 2. i think he is better than a poor mans maggs. there a simalarities between them but buike will get after it on d maggs well ??? to be determined. the longer he stays a FA i think his price tag goes up. i think when he sign and whoever its with (i hope us) its for 3-4 mil starting. unfortunatly i dont think he is a secret anymore he’s got game and once acouple more names get signed so will he.

dont think he is a secret anymore

Yeah Man….We shoulda locked him up when we had the chance. Kid did us real good with little appreciation show by the front office. Hopefully someone will pay him what he’s worth and I wouldn’t be surprised to ee him come back and torch us one day.

i thought they would have thown alittle $$$ his way so that he wouldnt have opted out. but its just the new way they do business. let everyones contract run out then go from there.

+1

just another vote to re-sign him. are you listening, W’s management??

hopefully this is a good sign

Tim Kawakami reports that negotiations are “on-going”. Whatever the heck that is supposed to mean, I don’t know. I’m assuming they won’t let Kelenna walk away that easily… The Warriors need depth and Kelenna provides some depth.

Like some of you said maybe Azubuike is the one that doesn’t want to come back?

It’s going to be his 3rd year and I’m expecting BIG things from him. There are some highlight reels of him on youtube from his first year (a lot of dunking and putbacks), and his 2nd year (a lot of second chance points, rebounding, better handles, and better D). His stats are improving which is also a good sign. I just hope he gets the opportunity to grow even if he isn’t with the warriors. Let it be known that I will be a bandwagon fan for whatever team Kelenna’s ends up on. :)

talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish

+1 to resign I like his hustle!

He also gave us ” A LOT” of tip in points, one of our few players that would actually follow a shot in to basket!

It's about heart, It's about fight, It's about being a Warrior!

he could have broke out last year if he didnt have to sit behind mb and mp. that knee injury at the begining of the year set him back and nellie forgot about him. but if he didnt get hurt maybe monte wouldnt of broken out. if he re-ups he would be the 1st off the bench.

I forgot to mention

his defense was pretty good too. For example, those games where he had to guard Kobe and he did a helluva good job.
