What about Barnes?

Is Barnes gonna stay with the GSW? Does anybody remember when Davis was hurt and Barnes was the warriors playmaker?this happened the season before last. The Warriors were winning games without Barron. Last year was a tough year for Barnes because of his mothers death. People forget how important Barnes was to us during the "we believe" era. Losing him might be a mistake. I want to know how other people feel about this. I would also like to know what the warriors might be planning to do about Barnes.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

in an article last week, nellie said he’s gone.

hahaha

Barnes was our playmaker.. good one.

He’s never been an impact player. He was solid at times, pretty good at times, and garbage at times. I don’t really care if he comes back or not.

magical

barnes had the magic in 07, just like all the warriors. but his time is over, if he wants to come back for the minimum i’m sure we’ll take him.

A bit rough!

Almost fickle some people are…..

Losing a parent is probably one of the hardest things we go through in this life worse still a child. I remember the great effort and enthusiasm he had in 07 and rarely when he was on court even this year, was there anyone faster to the other end of the court!

He had a tough yar this year and I cannot hold that against him, I would very much like to see him back and hopefully hecould train hard over the summer and prove he still has value to this team, either way I thank him for his effort and liked his input when he was given the chance and or his head was in the right place.

It's about heart, It's about fight, It's about being a Warrior!

no one is as good at the baseball pass down court as barnes!

and with how skewed refs can be against the warriors, i did get amusement out of him going in in bad stretches…throwing a flagrant and giving that “what? i didnt do that? you got to be kidding me!” look.

tough year for him last year but i still like him and will miss him if he’s gone.

I will always love anyone from the 2007 team

anyone in the rotation anyways. Good times

It's almost like the Warriors have 6 guys out there... they always have a guy open! - Jon Barry commentating game 3 last year

yeah man

is there any way we could get bars to play the mavs series every night for six days? would anyone not go watch those games? hell, i’d even hang out during the two losses.

i think

we should at least keep him one more year to see how he does.

One More Year

One More Year. How can that hurt us?

Put a little mustard on it

It sucks because in 2006-2007 Barnes was a KEY bench player because he had that hunger in him. And then in 2007-2008 his mom died and possibly because of that he didn’t play with hunger the rest of the season, he played scared.

It’s not worth it bringing him back. He won’t play as good for us as he did that one year. Now, if he goes to another team, and gets another one year deal, I have a feeling he will become his former self again, because the uncertainty of his job security ought to light a fire under his ass.

Yeah,We were on a roll then they traded Jason and in effect said “we don’t want to go any further, let’s blow it up” so the magic was gone, our boys saw the ugly break of the new dawn and they were sick.
