Plan B to resolve our PG & C problem
I figure everyone is throwing out their ideas to improve the Warriors so let’s hear what everyone says about these possible trades. Now, I am staying within the rumors that I have heard within the GSOM, ESPN, Hoopsworld and other media outlets that I constantly check, so none of these trades are out of the blue. Also, to solidify my trades, I have run them through ESPN Trade machine (Those that I have data on) and I have checked the current salaries of all players.
Plan A.1
Trade Maggette 5yr/ 50 mil, SJax 2yrs/ 14.7 mil along with an unprotected 1st round pick to Detroit for Chauncey 4yr/ 50.5Mil and Prince 3yr/ 30.9Mil.
This trade works because we are taking on more salary but more from a current salary stand point this works. This helps Detroit in several ways. It gives them a young player in Maggette that slides into their SF slot that Prince would be vacating. Adding a veteran leader in SJax. Last, a unprotected 1st round draft picks. With all the diamonds in the rough that we have found in those later rounds, I think we can bypass next years draft.
The benefit for the Dubs, Adding Chauncey solves our PG issue, adds veteran leadership and will help in the Plan B equation of the post. Adding Prince to solidify our SF spot, having a lock down defender and financially helps 2010/2011 season.
Plan A.2
Trade Harrington 2yr/ 19.2 Mil to Memphis for Milicic 14.5 Mil, Warrick 2.1 Mil and Crittenton1.3 Mil
Trades works because Harrington is on his last year of his contract. Helps Memphis get cap space flexibility for their future plans.
The benefit for the Dubs, adding Milicic to back up Biedrins at the center position, helps in case Turiaf is resigned by LA and his salary will come off within a year if all plans go hell in a handbasket. Warrick will help coming off the bench backing up Ellis or Prince, fills in Harrington's role of "SCORER". Last, adding Crittenton as young PG in our system that can develop behind Chauncey and learn his defensive style and at the same time continue to enjoy the free flowing style of running up and down the court.
Conclusion, trying to create cap space flexibility and looking towards the future is all I am trying to do and all these moves helps us to do that. At the same time we have created a team and atmosphere in which we can build on. Imagine a line up that we can create assets and benefit from it. In the past we lost a big asset, Arenas. Imagine what we could have done with him in our line up. I would hate to lose Ellis or Biedrins although; management has said they will do anything to keep them (Over pay as usual). What have they done to build around them? Maggette and Turiaf do not sound like markie names that will carry us to the playoffs. And whispers of landing Marion, Childress and Alston don’t make me feel good if we spend all that cash and get stuck. Let me know what everyone thinks...Feel free to bash, I have thick skin like a True Warrior should have.
Current Line up with FA Signings (Starters are in Bold)
PG Ellis, CJ Watson
SG Ellis, SJax, Maggette, Belinelli
SF SJax, Maggette, Randolph
PF Wright, Harrington, Turaif
C Biendrins
Possible Line up after Trades
PG Billups, Crittenton, CJ Watson
SG Ellis, Azubuike, Belinelli
SF Prince, Randolph, Warrick
PF Turiaf, Wright
C Biendrins, Milicic
Thanks

I don't think the Pistons
really would like to give up Tayshaun Prince away. Tayshaun was almost like their missing link in winning those championships, he’s a very skilled loooooong and lanky but wiry strong athletic 3 that has ridiculous versatility at the young age of 28. He does alot of intangible things for his team and if I were the Pistons I would not let him go because he basically is the leader for the future of that team.

i wouldnt make these moves
the $$$ are real close on first deal but i dont think dumas even considers that deal. you got 2 guy that play the same positions. he would of did it for BD but neither of those guys are close to BD.
plan 2 i think we could do better than that imo

i like
having either warrick or prince on our team, they fit in well.
but i dont noe if detroit will pull this trade, they would be missing a real point guard (stuckey is a 2), and Jax + the palace 41 times a year could equal trouble.
the memphis trade is more likely
Thank you, Dubs.

Stephen Jackson playing 41 games a year at the Palace would be a very interesting turn of events in light of what he did there 3 1/2 years ago. ;)

i really like...
what pree mentioned in on of his writings (trade Al future 1st for Javis, Marco, Hakim). All 3 guys can contribute and all are pretty young. Also, our team is really young and dont really need more youth to our already set future.
imagine a roster like this:
PG: Jaric/ Jarvis/ Watson
SG: Monta/ Belinelli/ Jackson
SF: Jackson/ Maggette/ Randolph
PF: Wright/ Hendrix/ Warrick
C: Andris/ Turiaf/ Kosta
assuming he signs
Sure our PF spot isnt great but in Nellieball, you never know which player is playing what position.

Why does everyone think Billups is the answer?
