OPEN THREAD: Vegas Game 2 - Warriors vs Mavs
Game Time: 3pm
The rookie, Anthony Randolph, showed his stuff in the game against the 76ers, scoring 30 points, pulling 8 boards along with 2 steals and 2 blocks. Quite a debut. That was Marco-esque. And as Pree noted, they didn't even run a play for him in the first half.
Now, I know I'm not supposed to get excited about how well someone plays in the summer league, but I can't help it. Seeing our teenage rookie drop 30 in his first action against pro players is fun to watch.
Also of note was Brandan Wright who blocked 4 shots while scoring 17 points on just 7 shots.
Today, our youngsters take on the Dallas Mavericks. I'm looking forward to seeing if Randolph can keep up the energy and all-around good play as well as Brandan and Marco playing well.

I’m trying to start a sports talking channel there. Mainly Warriors talk. I do have a webcam, too.
Elton Brand has a LiveVideo.com account
He was on one day, but I was at work so I couldn’t talk to him.
i hope young makes the team
i want to buy his jersey
He'll probably sell it to you
After summer league is over anyway – he’ll need the cash.

Too bad it isn’t always Summer League.
marco shoots better when he doesn't think about it
that’s probably why he is such an average free throw shooter.
i hope he’s not wasting his time practicing shots like that.

Rick Hamlin can kiss my ass.
You can tell all he does is run numbers and stats while poppin ridalin like corn nuts, sittin in his minnie-so-tuh basketball shorts, penciling in his next fantasy team while masturbating to dunk contests with a ruler nearby…what a maroon. He couldn’t offer any insight at all about the game or any of the players involved. He was content with badgering the other commentator to prance around and buzz about “emphatic” Belinelli dunks like some child.. and what’s up with him jinxing up AR when he twisted his ankle?? “Oh I hope he’s alright cuz that looked BAD! BAD news for Warrior fans! He’s finished!”
But seriously, I hope the league doesn’t make the mistake of allowing Hamlin in. He does not see the game, he doesn’t respect the game, and overall he’s just bad for the game. He reminds me of the suburban kid who only plays ball on 7 ft courts to practice his Isaiah Rider east bay funk..haha what a joke. He should stick to the fantasy game….stick to crunchin numbers and trying to predict whose dreams will crushed from an injury. My suspicions were confirmed when he bad mouthed Tony Soprano. He might know every player in the league A-Z, but listening to him dissect a game made me want to floss my teeth with a rusty barbed wire fence.

Excellent post.
Jinxing AR and bad-mouthing my boy Tony are two things you don’t do. The other two are pissing into the wind and pulling on Superman’s cape. Screw Rick Hamlin, he doesn’t even have a good play-by-play voice. He sounds like he’s trying to sound cool. In commentating, just like playing the game itself, you have to let the game come to you. Clearly, Rick did not.

Oh Paulie Walnuts!
Next to Stephen A. Smith(who talks like a woman) screaming into the Mic, spitting all over the new draftee’s and their mothers, I can’t think of anybody more unnecessary. I prefer ex-players to call the game, preferably ex-point guards. They seem to never try to make the ordinary into the extraordinary, and the ex player will applaud the slight nuances of the game, crediting the underrated ball player for making the correct, yet unobtrusive play, thus forcing you to look at the game from a seasoned angle. Commentators like Hamlin make James White and Gerald Green look like better players than guys like Shane Battier and Eduardo Najera. I’m very glad you agree, Paulie, I hope this clown’s on his way out…of the league I mean.

6 Fouls for Amundson
They better take him out – he’s only got four more fouls.
BelliNelli is making some high probability TO passes.
I really hate his shot selections at times and his minimal effort on D.
He needs to snap into it and set his game up!

Belli/Monta could share the 1
It’s clear MARCO is getting ready to help Monta with the 1 position.. Nellie must have told him to focus on passing and taking it to the hoop which he really has been doing great today. This is great!
DIEHARD W's
I’m just going through a mourning for the best Warriors of the last decade, kind of think I owe it to him for what he did for us by ending our 13 year drought.

hahahaha
That’s hella funny, but not necessarily true ... you gotta remember the demographics of people who visit this internet blog are way different than the fans in Oakland who go to games. This was the same site that was soft on Dunleavy and denied we’d boo him and then when the next game would come the boo’s would drown out everything LOL. FOR B, yes there will be boo’s, but there will also be a lot of cheers for those of us who were there during all the drought years.

How many of us are around?
Of who stuck with these teams even when we were the lauging stock of the league. I hate people that just cheered the “We Believe” moment. I’m with this team through the thick and thin.
beli
has to be the worst euro ft shooter i have ever seen
You should know better
Wearing the name of “Warriors” across your chest will automatically curse your free throws.
Belinelli
His free-throw shooting isn’t that bad at all. He is a 77.8% career free-throw shooter. That’s better than the likes of Tony Parker, Andre Kirilenko, Pau Gasol, Sergio Rodriguez, Marko Jaric and Kelenna Azubuike – all of whom are European.

good
overall game. belinelli had a great game, however he needs to be more consistent. wright and randolph both had pretty solid games as well. lookin forward to the next game!
Final thoughts
I didn’t see the game live but judging from the highlights and the boxscore, it was a good team performance. Brandan Wright had a solid game with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks, AR wasn’t as good as he was against the Sixers but he was still good and Belinelli was our best player. He scored 25 points on 9-19 shooting and he had 3 assists (and just 1 turnover), 2 of which were nice passes to Wright.
Next up for the Warriors, the Bobcats, who have former Warrior (albeit for a short time) Jermareo Davidson in their team.
