Is it me, or does CJ Watson's game remind you of Speedy Claxton?

His mannerisms, size, shooting range, and ability remind me alot of Speedy Clax. And that's not a bad thing at all...for a backup point, which the Dubs need. I think he's definitely got a roster spot. Whether he lands 2nd or 3rd on the PG depth chart, is the question.

I'm still hoping Mully can pull off a trade to pick up Conley or at least Crittendon. We need ballhandlers/playmakers! Do work, Mully!

Is our primary backup then thats pretty damn bad. Im sure hes a great guy but his game isnt that great, hes a third string point in the NBA at best, its a spot we definately have to address. For all the talk on here about Monta not being a true point guard, Watson is in the same mold in terms hes a score first point, hes not that good of a passer even though he could improve. I do hope he makes the team, but as the third string point in case of foul trouble or an injury.

small and quick

are just some of the similarities between Cj and Speedy. Speedy was an excelant defender and had a knack of getting to the line when the warriors offense was sputtering. CJ seems to be shoot first ala Earl Boykins.

I personally loved Speedy’s game.

Speedy has no jump shot and no 3-point range

CJ has both. Speedy was also quicker.

I don’t see much similarity.
