carlos boozer a warrior?
if we trade al and beans for marion and probably zo (drink that G2)! We would have the money for boozer to play center. He is only 26 and plays more like a c than a pf. So instead of needing a player to stop boozer lets just buy him. Now as a warrior fan i hate boozer w/ a passion. But if we got him our team would be a contender.
pg. Monta
sg. Jackson
sf: maggette
pf: wright
c: boozer
bench- randolph, beli, buike, turiaf, cj, and ad some vets = champion, or drink that G2, either way.

Don't understand your post
Are you saying that we would trade Marion for Boozer, or, that we would have Marion for one year, and drop him. Which would open up the cap space to sign boozer.
If it is the first, and Utah was even willing to swap Boozer for Marion, the heat would do that deal themselves because they want to sign him (boozer) next year.
If it is the second, thats just plain dumb, because you are trading a player the organization is high on for the future for basically nothing since Marion would walk away after, with no guarentee boozer would even sign with us. Then what are you left with?
Really confused, please clarify, I would be excited to see Boozer on our team but I just don’t know how we would get there with you reasoning.

the second one
because i am assuming we would have more money than anyone intrested, and we all know boozer will follow the money regardless if its here.

Boozer
is Karl Malone 2.0 there. They will never let him leave until he’s old, can’t move and is willing to play for the lakers for $1.00

hmm
Assuming Boozer opts out after this coming season/his option year, my guess is he’ll command at least as much as what the Dubs tried offering Elton Brand this summer, if not more. I would also think he’ll be one of the most sought-after unrestricted FA’s for next offseason, that’s IF he forgoes his option year.

exactly
boozer WILL opt out. marion’s contract will expire, so will foyles. so i am assuming we could spent that money on him

risky...
The plan you propose seems more of a high risk than high reward. Even with oodles of cap space won’t guarantee Boozer signing with GSW. I rather try trading Harrington (and perhaps a pick or one of the W’s youngins) for an expiring contract. If we can’t, then oh well…

Agree: See Arenas/Brand
Having cap space doesn’t equal free agent’s signing. In essence, we’d be trading AB and Al for an expiring contract and a chance at Boozer. Far too risky, imho.
Also, I’m surprised at the amount of interest some people have in Marion. He’ll be 31 by the time he signs his next deal and will probably want a Baron-like contract. And for a player who relies heavily on energy and athleticism…I just don’t see it.
You may run like Hayes. but you hit like sh**!

Mullin would look like an idiot if he traded away Beidrins and didn’t get Boozer after he opts out. It wouldn’t be smart of him to trade Beidrins away unless he worked out a long term deal with marion first. The good thing is Marion is always going to be in demand because the guy can do it all, so if we could trade for him and get him signed for a while, we could always orchestrate a sign and trade with another team. Worst case we keep a great player in marion. It all seems way too complicated and iffy for a stiff like Mullin though.

that's a bad idea...
marion wants way too much money and is getting up there in years. Biedrins is better and more affordable. Marion will not always be in high demand cuz he costs just too much.

The other point
This team doesn’t have a ton of money to spend next offseason assuming Monta and Beans sign. No one big expires, and everyone gets 8-10% raises.

Boozer is going to Miami next year
I think the Heat are going to move Beasley to the 3 and sign Boozer with Marion’s money. Either way, he isn’t staying in Utah. He’s going to a major market, where he can enjoy the city, get some phat endorsement deals, AND play on a contender. The only other place that might make sense is New Jersey, because he’d be a force with LeBron and he knows it. Also, with the relocation and new stadium NJ is going to become the “cool” place to play… I suspect Boozer wants the limelight.
Look, he’s has already shown once that he’s not afraid to change cities if he thinks it’s best for him. My money is on him doing it again.
Which begs the question of what happens to D.Williams. He reportedly now wants an opt-out clause, in case the Jazz lose Boozer. So, in short, Boozer could single-handedly dismantle that whole Jazz team within 2-3 years. And I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s exactly what happens…

umm
i am saying if rumors are true , miami can not afford bozzer after taking on al and beans. not to mention w/ boozer we are a contender, and the warriors are a pretty marketable team. There in the only team in the bay area which is huge, and they are always a fun team to watch as of late.

it's just a dumb idea...
we trade al and beans now, so that next year we MIGHT be able to get boozer? It’s just a huge risk to take, and very very very likely, would end up with the warriors giving up a very good center for nothing in return.

I’d guess there’s more A’s and Giants fans than Warrior fans?

He reportedly now wants an opt-out clause,
Make that an opt out with guaranteed trade to the GSW and we’ve got a deal.

No
You don’t trade young quality big men for cap space. Whoever you sign with the cap space is irrelevant.

good idea
but i doubt the warriors will make a trade and that utah would let boozer go

wut a dumb idea
this isnt happening. although boozer will probably leave the jazz…his daughter has some medical condition and the doctors told him that a warmer climate would be much better for her (aka not utah)

worth a shot....
If somehow the cap space is available without giving any of our prime core, i would love for the W’s to at least make a run at Boozer. Even though i have doubts he’ll come here, a shot from half court is better than no shot taken at all. The other benefit is Boozer heading to the eastern conference.
