Accurate 2009 and 2010 Salary Estimations
There have been a great deal of posts about the 2009 and 2010 offseasons, so I figured as a salary cap guy, I'd post the actual #'s for players along with some background.
If a number looks wrong, call me out on it and I'll either explain it or correct it.
NOTE: I put most of the work in for the 2010 stuff (in response to another thread), so if you're looking for explanations, look down a little bit and it should be there.

2009:
Maggette: $9,288,000
Monta: $10,450,000
Beans: $9,900,000
SJax: $7,650,000
Al Harrington: $10,027,875
B-Wright: $2,671,440
Marco: $1,547,640
Randolph: $1,776,240
Hendrix (estimate):$736,420
2009 1st rounder (I used the #12 pick): $1,968,120
2009 2nd rounder: $457,588
Foyle: $600k
Kosta may have some $ due for 2009-2010, but I just don't know
That's $57,073,323 for 11 players, and of course does not include Turiaf/Dooling or anyone else signed this offseason for a multi-year contract.
The cap should be around $62m next season, so that leaves around $14,965,685 under the luxury tax (and about $4.9m under the cap, which is the relevant number since the Warriors have no big pending FA's and thus no Bird rights).
2010:
Maggette is probably getting $8.6 this year to make the contract work, so with 8% raises, he’d be at $10,031,040.
Monta’s probably going to start at around $9.5m (5 years, $58m) with 10% raises. In the third year of that contract (2010-2011), he’d be making $11,495,000. It could be higher, of course.
Beans will probably be around 5 years, $54.9m, which would place his 2010-2011 salary at $10,890,000.
As such, those three combine to make $32,416,040.
Then we have the draft picks (slotted, and when not available, I used the value of the rookie contract from the same draft slot the year before):
Brandan Wright: $3,398,071
Marco Belinelli: $2,380,270
Anthony Randolph: $1,900,200
Richard Hendrix: Restricted Free Agent (typically sign a 2 year deal)
2009 1st rounder (I used the #12 pick): $1,968,120
2009 2nd rounder: $736,420
2010 1st rounder (I used the #14 pick): $1,660,367
2010 2nd rounder: $457,588
That’s $12,557,028 for draft picks.
Total, we’re at $44,917,076.
That doesn’t include a re-signed Hendrix or ANY players signed for that year (including Turiaf, who’d be around $3.8 if it’s frontloaded).
So basically, the Dubs would be at $45 mill with Monta, Beans, Maggette, the Slims, Marco, and the future draft picks.
Beyond that, it’s too much speculation, but keep in mind that there are still at least 5 roster spots to fill with those guys under contract.
Any rec's are greatly appreciated- just trying to spread the actual info instead of speculation.

Second round picks generally start at the rookie min, which is $457,588 in 09-10.
If Hendrix is on the team, he’ll almost certainly be making the 2nd year min ($736,420). He cannot make less than that.
Foyle will still have a small bit coming to him (approx $600k) next year as well.

That’s $12,557,028 for draft picks.
do you mean FAs? who could we get for 12 mil? it seems like the top players that we need-the big name superstars-would cost more. also—damn maggette costs a bunch. still that is pretty good flexibility. if we manage to sign a big FA in 2010, it could be interesting in 2011 when we need to resign brandan and marco (i believe). we could be well into the luxury tax depending on how well they play and how much we’re forced to resign them (if we resign them) for.
thanks for the info dprodigy

Actually, the $12.557m represents players on their rookie contracts for 2010-2011 (everyone drafted from 2007-2010)
The cap space figure for 2010 would be around $15-20m for right now, but that figure is much, much closer to zero since it does not account for any Free Agents at all. I’d assume the Warriors get at least one guy this summer beyond Monta and Beans who is signed for 2010-2011 (Turiaf is the best guess). That takes around $3-4m off ($4m if it’s Turiaf and it’s frontloaded), and then there will be people signed next offseason for multiple-year deals that will eliminate the rest of the cap. Plus, the next summer would be for B. Wright and/or Marco extensions with no one coming off the books (and 5-10% escalations on most players), so management will inevitably try to keep things cheaper.

good work, this is more accurate than the other fanpost. in 2010 we will have the cap space to go after a big time FA.

Great flexibility next year
because Al will not be here and there is another 10M putting us over. $15M below the cap for 09!!! That will sign a stud!

That's not exactly how it works
The Warriors would have $15m to fill out the roster, and it’s somewhat clear that they’d need more than one person. They can create some space for 2010 at the earliest (barring some nuts situation where the Warriors trade Al and Jax for expirings they don’t want to re-sign), but it takes moving someone or not signing someone significant.

Harrington is signed through 0910. This is not his last year.

He has a player option, does he not? I don’t expect him to use it, but it’s there…

I don't think so
You could be right, but I haven’t seen the 2009-2010 season listed as a player option anywhere.
