Homegrown? What about Eddie House?

Well, according to ESPN Insider, Eddies got a few offers on the table, and all the Celts want to give him is the league minimum @ 1 year, so he looks to be headin out.  What do you guys think about the possibilites of pickin him up as the back up PG?

I grew up in Hayward and played him in some pick ups a couple times, the dude can shoot the lights out, and considering we're looking to have Belinelli and Jax handle the ball more often, a good scoring PG might not be a bad idea...and he has one of the lowest turnover ratios in the league...

Just seeing what the GSOM'ers think....I don't know if he'd be what we need?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Well........

It wont hurt if we add another shooter that is a PG. We need a proven shooter. No, Belinelli is not because he only is proven in Summer League games. PG is our need right now, and House would be nice coming off the bench for us. I would get him, but at the right price.
2years/$4million would be nice.

i hope we win a championship soon

No

More Shooters. We Have Enough Of Those.. We Need Some Ballhandlers Who Can Pass And Handle Pressure (Eddie Cannot Do Both)

he'd be nice if....

we shoot him a lil more than the min. Dude can only catch and shoot and doesnt have that great ball handling skills. We need more playmakers than shooter because everyone can score in Nellieball.

No players with

knee high ankle socks and toothpick legs please. Also he can not dribble and create his own shot. He is nothing more than a catch and shoot player. Might as well get JJ Reddick if thats the case.

Haters

I’d take him in a heart beat. He’s proven himself on the big stage, just tell him to keep his son at home.

Put a little mustard on it

maybe....

....we should stop falling in love with the idea of bringing homegrown players back to the Bay (such as Gary Payton). I’ll admit, I was one of those too, but realistically i don’t think those players would fit our needs. I don’t think of EHouse as a solid pg, but rather a jump shooter with pg size. While watching him over the years, it doesn’t seem like his handles are all that great to begin with.

I’m waiting for someone to suggest a Jason Kidd movement. Ha! I wouldn’t mind Kidd on the team if say he were to take the veteran’s minimum (despite his age). Double Ha! Unlikely….
