Lakers will not match the offer sheet given to Ronny Turiaf

According to ESPN.COM,

The Los Angeles Lakers will not match the offer sheet given to Ronny Turiaf, meaning the forward will play for the Golden State Warriors next season, ESPN.com's J.A. Adande reported Thursday.

Golden State offered Turiaf a four-year, $17 million contract offer, which would have boosted Los Angeles' payroll past the luxury tax.

Turiaf averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 78 games with the Western Conference champions last year, starting 21 games. The three-year veteran also blocks shots and plays strong low-post defense, two of Golden State's biggest problem areas.

I' m still curious what Pree was hinting at now that it's pretty much a done deal with Turiaf.  Sorry if this was a late post...

if this ends up to be true

it will be interesting to see what mully does with the rest of the cap space. does he use it to sign a cheap fa or use it to take on some salary in a trade

hmmm...

A frontline rotation of:

Andris/ Al/ Wright/ Turiaf/ Kosta/ Hendrix

aint the prettiest lineup, but do-able.

so, now that we (officially?) have Turiaf....

can we expect things to get rolling???

Looks like everybody’s playing the waiting game as there has been no activity around the league, be it signings or trades. Hopefully, no more news of other Warriors getting signed to offer sheets.

hopefully

turiaf will bring the same energy and enthusiasm he had as a laker. I always saw this guy to be a hard worker. Occasionally he gets frustrated but will do what’s asked of him. I very sure having heart surgery really changed his attitude and outlook on life.
