Sources: Warriors make offer to Brand after losing Davis

The Dubz are desperate. Management seems to have lost it and are providing a pathetic sequel to the Gilbert arenas situation. I am up late trying to find any breaking news that give any glimmer of hope and came across this from

www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=430104

But here's what hasn't been known: Two sources report that the Warriors, flush with cap space now that they're not responsible for Davis' $17.8 million option, reached out with an offer to Clippers free-agent big man Elton Brand in an attempt to limit any potential PR damage from the loss of Davis. "Baron is very popular," one of the sources says, "and if they can't replace him with Gilbert, Elton is the next-best option."

What do you guys make of this? A desperate attempt when all is lost, or a true counter attack approach where management is not going to just lie down and not fight? Remember nothing is official until July 9th, so all options and outcomes are still there.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

i think...

though it does somewhat reek of desperation, having brand wont be horrible, we might even be slightly better to fringe end of lottery unless of course monta and jackson keep upping their games

but yeah hard to believe that would happen

Lottery?!

To hell with that! if we’re going to the lottery then I’ll be damned if its for the 14th pick. If we go back I want at least a top 5 pick.

Here’s what I think they should do instead of doing this weak attempt a fan appreciation. Throw all that they can at getting Kyle Lowery or any one of those guards on the Grizz. OR they try and let Belinelli run the point….which would be interesting to say the least.

brand

aint coming. The point of Baron signing with clips is so they could do 2/3 of what the celtics did and get Brand and Davis.

Brand?

i dont think that we need to focus on getting a big man! We currently dont have anyone to run the point! fortunatly we have monta , who allows us to either pick up a sg or a point! in my opinion we need to go after josh smith, ben gordon, or mobley! and move monta to the point like nellie wants! Of course after pursuing agent zero, that would make my year if we got Gilbert!!!
