Picked up Ronny and Corey....
How you guys feeling about us signing these guys. They seem alright with me.Ronny is a guy with a lot of heart and Corey seem just like a scoring beast but can they help us get into the playoffs like the 2007 warrior did? I honestly sometime think wtf is mullin doing signing random people but im having second thoughts on these guys..
OPINIONS GUYS! =D
Can we still Believe or we wont achieve?

Complimentary Players to Make Monte the Star
(A) Corey is the steady scorer and can get to the free throw line during critical stretches. (B) Turiaf is insurance for Biedrins when he gets in foul trouble and where there are multiple bigs on the floor (in addition to giving Biedrins a breather).
Both of these are important and good moves but I am concerned with the amount paid.
This makes Monte the star, with Corey, Jackson, and Harrington being the alternative playmakers. Wright, Biedrins, and Turiaf will focus on rebounds and defense with occassional scoring. Marco and/or Kaz or Randolph will provide some outside scoring off the bench.
What’s missing – the veteran back up point that can shutdown penetration and handle the ball in traffic and make the occassional play when playing Monte is a mismatch and must shift to the 2 spot. Without this – they are a 35 win team. Get a veteran point – they could be a 45 win team. I really think Delonte West could be this guy, not Louis Williams.
What puts them over the top? – a real low post scorer and rebounder (tough guy). Hendrix/Turiaf are only half of what the Dubs need to become a 50 win team.
Bottom line – If we could NOT get Brand or a real star, then get complimentary players that make your potential star (Monte) better

It would have been nice to get complimentary players. They always lift other players’ spirits, what with all the clapping and cheering.
Complimentary players don’t cost anything either. By definition, they’re free.
Instead, we probably paid money for complementary players.

Playoffs
are a possibility, i lineup of Monta,Maggette,Jack,Harrington,Biedrins might not be good enough, we have to trade al for a good, solid player. we just need more piece to complete this puzzle, comon mullin have one more trick up your sleeve. and yes we can still believe

mully
did a good job with these two guys. maggs will replace bd’s pts per game and turiaf gives us the big body that we have been missing down low. the only thing i question is is mully really serious about turning this team over to monta and letting him be the man. if he was then he wouldnt have made those hugh offers to brand and arenas.

All things considered, I like it and there are worse players to waste money on
The way I see it, Maggette is Jason Richardson’s replacement. Although I wish J-Rich never left, Maggette is the next best thing as he’s a very similar player: a 6’6” scorer known for dunking. In some ways he’s an improvement, being a more efficient scorer, much better at free throws, and less afraid to drive towards the basket. I don’t know why people say either player is overpaid, though; considering the numbers they’ve put up in recent years, I’d say they’re being paid appropriately and are both overdue for an All-Star appearance.
Turiaf was a good backup in LA and he’ll be a good backup here. Biedrins is the clear starter, and it’s about time someone appropriate is there to spell him (Harrington should stick to either forward position).
Nabbing Brand would’ve been perfect, both for our frontcourt needs and an appropriate payback to the Clippers for taking Davis. Arenas would’ve been a great pickup as an established star and experienced (if not a “true”) playmaker, as well as bringing him full circle to where he should have never left (although Ellis can easily be his replacement just as J-Rich is getting replaced). Obviously those didn’t work out, but getting Maggette and Turiaf is a decent consolation prize.
As for playoffs, it’s a tough call. Our team is definitely good enough-Ellis will continue to improve and expand his game, Jackson is a better player and leader than given credit for, Don Nelson is still a great coach-but if what happened this past season continues on to the next, it’s really out of our hands whether our good enough is actually good enough for another freak playoff race (48-win 9th place finish again? In my league? It’s more likey than you think). That, and, as others have pointed out, we really could use another key addition to definitely put the team over the top.

I think we have a little chance of making the playoffs.
GIVE THAT KID MORROW A TRAINING CAMP INVITE. That guy can shoot the 3. My dream would be getting Bobby Brown on are team.
Sasha Vujacic {The machine} We should get HIM

i think we're done wit the signings
after monta and beans, because Mullin wants to keep enough cap room so that when foyle comes off the books next year, he’ll have money to throw at another IFA

one more signing within 2 weeks, my prediction...
and hopefully a couple guys from summer league pan out. Would love to get bobby Brown, he busted his ass in summer league and I think would do the same for us

Rasheed Wallace
would be a nice pick up for the warriors. May be a trade consisting Al and Wright.
PG Ellis – Watson
SG Jackson – Belinelli
SF Maggette – Randolph
PF Wallace – Hendrix
C Biedrins – Turiaf

that would be dumb
Trading young with plenty of upside for old with one, maybe two, years left.

people are starting
to think that b-wright will be a career backup due to his eating disorders.
To an extent, I agree that without another 20 pounds of muscle and more range on his J, he won’t be anything special.
Good thing, 20 pounds of muscle and jumpshots can be developed by guys barely 20 years young. Let’s just hope he is hungry enough to eat and work on his limitations.

Not worth it
Wallace is pretty old and past his prime. On the other hand, if the Pistons were giving him away for nothing then I would definitely bite. :P
