OPEN THREAD: RMR Game 1: Warriors 108, New Jersey 84

UPDATE: Check out the boxscore It's broken down quarter by quarter and half by half. Scroll all the way to the bottom to see the full game boxscore. Thanks to streetballer for the link.

Didn't get a chance to get an open thread up before the game.

The first game for the Warriors in the Rocky Mountain Revue has completed and the Warriors were once again victorious. Check out the recap for full game coverage. Unfortunately the boxscore doesn't seem to be working.

The recap has this photo with this caption:

Anthony Randolph=Kevin Garnett part II?

Feel free to drop any thoughts in the comment section. Hopefully the boxscore link gets fixed.

Did Jamont Gordon play?

Wish he did. I’d like to see some other PG’s playing other than CJ. Too bad for Marlow that the Dubs have like 5 players of his type. He’ll probably get picked up by the Clippers or something.

my...eyes...hurt

Wow, that was painful to read. Do the Utah Jazz have an exchange student for the summer? The flow of that recap was completely muddled. And that was some seriously bad English, misinformation, and misspelling of people’s names.

And I thought some of the fan posts on here by 12 year olds and high school dropouts were bad…

Yeah, that recap was horrendous...

The box score gave me a better idea as to who did what….

Here’s the thing I really like about Randolph…He seems very versatile…..he went, 2-10 from the field…BUT was 11-13 from the line with 8 Rebs, and 5 Asst, w/ 2 blocked shots…I like that…When a player has 1 part of his game taken away, and he finds other ways to contribute, be it boards or dimes.

Man..I really hope Nelly give this kid some minute to develp in real PT.

Hendrix also looked like he did work….10Pts 12 boards…

where

are you getting the game stats from? the link on the RMR site only shows the 1st qtr stats

JIMI HENDRIX

i heard his knbr interview and i like how he thinks….10pts 12 boards, he says he likes doin the little things….well thats just what we need….hell score whatever falls in his lap, but we need him BOXING out cuz the warriors SUCK at that

by c-lap on Jul 21, 2008 4:17 PM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

it shows alot

about our younger players and depth that we can defeat a team that had sollid NBA players like sean williams in the lineup. even if most of these players wont actually be on the team!

randolph seemed to have an off night…but thats ok…at least he seemed to be getting open shots…love the assists stat…shows that he was handling the ball alot and making things happen

you

gotta love the rebounding numbers of hendrix. 12 boards in 21 minutes against brook lopez and sean williams. Thats impressive.

Hendrix....

is killin it so far. Hes gettin 12rebs in just 18mins a game.

Wright should file a complaint with the official scorer for getting his name wrong.

hopefully

my boi AR could be the next coming of Scottie Pippen. Hopefully, he could be half of the great player he was.

PIMPPEN

That’s right boy!!! If AR could be half the player PIPPEN was, he’d be good! PIPPEN did it all! If AR can play D and let his O come to him like PIP, then he’ll be DAMN good!!!

Anthony

I hope Anthony gets some damn playing time…Alot of our players deserve playing time it just depends how Nelson actually gives the time.

He should have the 1st and 2nd strings play alternatively and set up a rotation that is proven and needed in games. The laker’s had a great bench and used to their disposal. Hopefully Nelly decides to let these first year and second year contribute in the game instead of the bench.

WARRIORS.COM

Here’s a link to the WARRIORS.COM Summer League 2008 recap of the WARRIORS vs. NET game @ RMR. (Definitely a much better read than the one in the Official Utah Jazz site! bleh)

why arent cj watson and marco bellinelli

participating in the RMR? i think they have more than enough proving to do. if BR’s playing, i see no reason why they shouldn’t be either…

Bellinelli already had other plans before the Warriors decided to participate in the RMR. Not sure about CJ.

JA Adande article

The Warriors summer league blog, where the (better) recap is posted, links to a couple articles about the dubz, by a couple sports writers.

The one by JA Adande proved to be a very good and fun read. I highly recommend it to any warriors fan. Check it out!
