OPEN THREAD: RMR Game 2: Warriors vs Mavericks

Warriors (1-0) vs Mavericks (2-1)
Game Time: 3:30p

Watch it streaming live (Here's a list of all the games that will be streaming)

Because of the Rocky Mountain Revue's crappy recap, you should check out the Warriors official blog recap to get a better sense of what happened.

The fine folks of Salt Lake City that had attended the first two days of the Rocky Mountain Revue and returned Monday for Day 3 saw something new today. What they saw was Warriors’ style basketball. The same up and down Warriors’ style basketball that has been a staple in the Bay Area since Don Nelson returned as head coach two seasons ago.

...

Anthony Randolph spent most of the game driving aggressively to the hole, finishing with 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Randolph was just 2-of-10 from the floor, but on nearly a half-dozen occasions he could have/should have drawn a foul call after taking hard contact in the lane. Despite a slew of questionable non-calls, the Warriors first round pick still managed to get to the free throw line 13 times, making 11, thanks to his aggressive attacks to the hole.

Hopefully the streaming works. And if it doesn't, NBA tv will show it on tape delay starting at 9pm.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about AR and seeing CJ and BWright (both DNP-CD's). Drop your comments below.

Will Marcus Williams be suiting up for us?

If you want to even call that the Warriors

Look at the lineup. Lot’s of people that will never see a nba game as a warrior or even a real nba game period.
Morrow continues to impress though.
27-11 4yh quarter, not bad.

Free throws

Randolph really knows how to get to the line and he hits them consistently. Impressive to see.

damn

the lagging stream killed that layup by Randolph

by lightz0ut on Jul 22, 2008 4:23 PM PDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

This stream is really unwatchable...

...NBA.com needs to get their act together.

Anyway, I know it’s SL, I know, but Randolph just looks real good. I don’t think we’re gonna be Bellinelli’d.

Great

The lag goes away on a turnover by Kurz

Hendrix

I noticed several times he had the ball within maybe 8-9 feet and rather than go to the basket he passed. He should be more aggressive.

Anthony Morrow

I am really liking this Morrow kid. He can flat out shoot. Undrafted sleeper

Hm...

Seems Like Um…. Randolph Is Gettin Up Alot Of Shots And He Isn’t Making Any… At Least He Can Get To The Line… But He Need To Be A Little More Consistent To The Shots

From the Warriors Summer Blog:

Thus far in two games at the RMR, “A-Mo” is averaging a team-high 25.0 points per game, while shooting 55.9% (19-34 FG) from the field, 77.8% (7-9 3FG) from long range and 83.3% (5-6 FT) from the free-throw line. Overall in five games in a Golden State uniform, he’s averaged 18.6 points per game, while shooting 62.1% (36-58 FG) from the field, 81.3% (13-16 3FG) from long range and 80.0% (8-10 ft) from the free-throw line.

... skewed stats because of limited playing time, but still IMPRESSIVE!
