OT: 6 Nicknames for Oklahoma City team.

The NBA now has 6 names for the new team to decide on: Barons, Bison, Energy, Marshalls, Thunder and Wind. Which one do you prefer? I personally like the name 'Barons', it sounds more original than the other names listed.

are so lame. ENERGY? please. the only good name is thunder, but that’s stealin the warriors mojo and it’s wrong! I can’t believe these are the best 6 they came up with… who the hell works in the naming department for the nba?!

There’s already a Baron Davis in the league, and Bison Dele already had a career here. You’d think these are reasons to reject those options. They probably thought that the Orlando Magic were named after Magic Johnson so they said what the hell.

I pray i never have to use a gun again...

...unless i'm at a strip club parking lot...

...and somebody tries to run me over with their car...

...But how often does that happen??

Seriously? Would they have a promotional kick-off night involving large helpings of beans? Or maybe they make a big splash by signing Beans?

Blecch. I hate all those options. I guess the least offensive are Barons and Marshalls, despite their evocation of bygone Warriors.

WNBA names…I mean, Wind? Energy? They should go up against the Sparks and see what happens. Bison makes sense, since they came pretty close to extinction…I guess this is the comeback

Bombers?

Wasn’t there a yay area girls roller derby team with that name years ago( with a big tough blonde named joni mitchell)?
Was setting up my favorite teams in the profile and noticed there’s a college team called the game cocks , thunder doesn’t sound so bad now.
