Olympiakos targeted Buike first.
It would have been a real shocker if Buike did take that for supposedly 5 mil per.
Agent Michael Higgins said Olympiakos approached his client last year, and then returned two weeks ago at the summer league in Las Vegas with an offer to Azubuike of $5 million annually for three years.

very interesting
if this is true, i’m a little surprised he didn’t take it, since he is born in london and probably a little more comfortable with the european way of living (at least more so than josh childress). i wonder if they offered an opt-out option at the end of each year, like childress’ contract. that could be a make-or-break clause for any player.
