update on Brand

UPDATE: July 3, 9:40 AM  Marc Stein of ESPN implies that there's a chance Brand will take the Warriors offer.

Marc Stein implies a bunch of things.  What does imply necessarily mean? Does it mean that he has overheard something, doubtful, as we all know ESPN sells ratings, stirs pots and overembellishes on a lot of things.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

brand

You know you want the extra $$. Los Angeles is a pos city anyway.

"They can trade me," Bonds said. "I don't think they will, though. It's not like I want to be traded, man. I'm a Giant. I'm stuck here till the end."

I'm sure

Brand is seriously considering the extra $20 million the Warriors have to offer, not to mention the possibility of a sign and trade. But I really think he wants to see if Mullin picks up a couple more pieces to add to the team. I know he doesn’t wanna just mentor Wright and play with some youngsters. Make it happen Mullin!

“It was initially expected that Brand might verbally commit to re-signing with the Clippers on Wednesday, one day after Davis told the Clippers he was accepting their five-year offer worth an estimated $65 million to go back home to Los Angeles. Brand instead flew to Washington to consult face-to-face with agent David Falk while Golden State was poised to give him a deal possibly $20 million richer than what the Clippers can offer.”

This comment gives me a slight glimmer of hope, but still the chances are slim. I keep hearing what a stand-up loyal guy he is but it is still $20 million….

if

we can talk to brand and convince him that with the signing of a point guard (livingston maybe) we would ultimately be a better team than the clips maybe he’d come
