Alright guys, were all talking about the these big free agents this year, and of all the names I heard I thought....... Do any of these guys have a ring?

Brand, Smith, Igoudala, Okafor, Baron, Magette, Gordon, Deng, Childress.... 

Nope, none of em. Guys seriously how stupid would the Dubs be to overpay for any of these players who havent proven they can win in this league.

THE TIME HAS COME for the Dubs to get smart and use this year as the year to position themselves for greatness. And this is how it is done.....

Resign Monta and AB..............I think we all agree that we want to see Monta and Andris in our starting 5 in 5 years.

By the way, the Monta experiment is in full effect this year, Monta will be given the position they have been grooming for him the past 2 seasons. He is our PG of the future, and he will be a damn good one. Want to, but dont need to explain fuller.

Fill out our roster with cheap vets.......hopefully Buike at least and roll with it.

Harrington/Wright

This puts us in the drivers seat for out future. It gives us this whole year to evaluate all of our young talent. Lets say we dont make the PO's. We would add another lottery pick to our already young and talented core which has also had a year to gel. Say we make the PO's. Then great bring it on lets go spend the money on the players that are making it happen for us. I expect us to not make the PO's and be in the lottery next year with a good pick, money to spend, and a more veteran team with a season to gel under their belts.

The West is too good this year for us to think of making the finals. But dont for a second think the dubs wont still be the most entertaining team in the league to watch.

2009 will be AL's last contact year and we will probably be able to deal him for something remotely valueable, if not just keep him and sign him cheap if we still want him. We will now have a team with an ecclectic group of young core guys who have 2 years of experience together, and possibly another lotto pick.

This would be a better time to make a move for a big name free agent or get a big name via trade because we will have put ourselves in a position to afford it and our team will be a young hungry team ready for the missing piece.
