Trying too hard?
Judging the responses ive been reading here and my own opinions I feel safe saying the consensus is we are not going to get Brand. My attitude was that it was possible but not likely. Hearing on the radio today that Brand was also talking to the sixers made it all clear. This is all propoganda so the masses don't think there were any backdoor agreements before discussions were allowed. The LA media is in on it too, pushing the possibility that they will lose Brand, all the while knowing he ain't going nowhere. The league probably won't do crap because two good LA teams means more revenue. The fact that there is so much buzz out there about brand coming to the dubs, and now, talking to the sixers, only strenghens my feelings that it's all an act. What does everyone else think.

okay, this is the only time I will post something like this.
20 million dollars is a lot of dollars for someone who has maybe 7-8 years left in their career tops. Unless he is beyond belief stupid, which may be the case, living in LA all those years.
Collusion? Yes… but money talks and BS walks… if you know what I mean. They are certainly not a “Boston” type movement in LA. They aren’t even comparable to the Lakers. Let alone a Boston movement.
Now seriously, if Brand isn’t STRONGLY considering coming to the Warriors, I would be very shocked.
You drive up to my house with a dumptruck of money and say, “hey come play with my for the next 5 years” I dont care who you are, I would fly to see you and our “dream” of a championship to make our movies together. We could even make a basketball movie about our imaginary championship. Because, forgive me now… but the Clippers with Baron and Elton, are not contenders for a title. He would have a better opportunity with the Warriors, up and coming and a good draft next year, a free agent signing the year after that, with all the true “ballers” All-stars. You have to also look at the avail of money for the warriors vs. the clippers in 2010. Warriors, even with Brand, have more signing ability.
Did I mention Ellis? The game is not won by the point guard. Do you want proof and point? See… Stephen Jackson, see the Celtics, see the Lakers.
I vote yes on Brand to the Dubs… Why is this? we have been courting him since before his injury.
Last point- money is money. The reason he is playing is for money. So, I bet you will hear this statement by Friday.
“My dream of championship looked good on paper, but it wasn’t PAPER”
Ya digg!

I don't really think
brand has a shot at a title with the dubs.
If the clips had Brand Baron and Maggette who i think is very under rated i think that could compare to the Big three in the Celtics but it wouldn’t be quite as good. They would certainly be on the right track tho. But they probably wouldn’t win it all.
The warriors … eh… idk they’re young, they have some nice players, we would be a very good team with him.. i just don’t see us contending any time soon.
Personally i think his best choice would be philly. AI is a stud, we should get him and Sam Dalembert is a beast. they have some other talent over there and they are in the east.
All teams are pretty comparable though.

right on franky
could not agree more. all this talk about championships and all but dough will always be dough. i bet baron already told brand to sign with warriors cause he will get paid more. i mean if u have a friend and some1 offers him A LOT more money if u r a true friend u not going to tell him to keep working with u and make less. u want friend to be successful( which means “take more money”).
