Quit your crying!

I'd like to call a moratorium to all the complaining on this site.  Especially when everyone is repeating everyone else.

Here's some perspective...

Players, not Mullin, determine their own fates.  Baron wanted to leave, and unless we mortgaged the future for a great but injury prone pg we weren't going to keep him (in fact, even if we matched I wouldn't be suprised if he still went to Lala land).

Brand wants to play in the East where he can go further in the playoffs than in the west and he can still get paid - smart guy.

Maggette isn't equal to Baron but he does give us scoring, toughness and a new offensive option when the clock winds down besides jacking threes with his and-one ability. Plus, this ability will help address the problems that zone defenses gave us last year.

If we get Turiaf we will get a solid backup PF and center to provide something people asked for on this site - interior defense, rebounding, and strength to shove Boozer around.

If we get a decent back up PG and trade Al harrington so that Wright can develop we may not be as good as last year but i don't think we will suck. It is rare that a team with three guys who can average more than twenty a game really sucks.  Remeber, Nellie's teams will ALWAYS be based on scoring more than the other team - not on good defense.

Finally, we don't know how good Monta can be as a pg, because Baron was always the guy.  Also, he has improved an element of his game each year (this past year he rebounded much better, showed leadership, and let the game come to him more) so why can't he learn to pass better and play defense better? He's still a young player.  Biedrins has gotten better each year as well - I love how he improved his FT shooting last year.

Let's see what this team can do before we write them off.  No more crying!

there's no ink on teh deal yet

maybe with Brand and Maggette gone, Baron comes back for one more year.

why not? cant we offer him more this year than anyone else even if he loses the multiyear safety net he is looking for? If he thinks he can stay healthy another year Oakland will be a lot more fun than LA

I agree

Would you have rather not spend the money and had a bad season or would u like to see the front office pick the pieces up and move forward. Maggette is very good player and im excited.

YEs i’d rther have a bad season than be 10th or 11th in the West. If we’re going to be in the lottery we might as well get a good pick and we might as well let our young guys play.

WHY CRY?

Why should anyone be crying? So Baron dished on us, so what! It’s no big thing that we can’t attract any of the good free agents, that were always one of the worst teams in the NBA every year, that when we do get a good player we lose them just as fast as we get them, anyone remember, Bernard King? CWEBB, Gilbert, JRICH, this list could go on all day, why should we cry because of inept management ? After all the Clippers suffer from a similar disease,

So what we miss the playoff’s ten out of eleven years, what’s the big deal ? Heck I remember after the Rick Berry era when we went nine years straight without sniffing the playoff’s, the biggest thing to cheer about was MR Mean’s rebounds?

It’s no big deal that we have passed franchise player after player in the draft and boggled so many picks, it’s just the signs of growing pains, someday this will all be just a horrible nightmare, when I don’t know ! No time soon I’m sure, but is it worth crying about? Heck, we all have a real life out here to cry about right ? ;=)

Sour Grapes

Ya but we dont have a box of chocolates : )

YUP ;=

And the days of the run and gun TMC are long over ;= as a matter of fact, I liked the CWEBB Billy O Spreweell run and gun better with Avery at the point even, it looked like Magic and the Lakers all over again, the future looked bright !!! Then it all fell apart the next season: same old same old:

Pass the sour grapes ;=
