Is Monta The Point Guard?

We have a couple of options now.  We could get one of the weak point guards on the Free Agent market, and leave monta at shooting guard.

We could get a trade to happen for Felton or Hinrich and give up Harrington.

If we do one of these,

PG/Ellis/Maggette/Jackson/Biedrins

we have to put an undersized jackson at the power forward....

or we make monta the point guard and have maggette come to shooting guard and let brandan wright, or a free agent play the power forward...

but which one of these things do we do?

jackson at the 4

ya that would work, not like the west has a litany of good power forwards. Maggette is either gonna play the starting 2/3 or he’s a bench player. No way Jack is moving to the 4, he’s too valuable for us to play against the Western PF’s.

we all have

seen how much monta has improved every year he’s played. he should have won Most Improved Player last year for gods sake.

his passing abilities defintiely improved over the course of this last year and i would except this trend to continue. he was drafted out of HS to be a point guard in the NBA. obviously this takes time to develop but hes gonna be in his 4th year now and i think we’ll see him really hit his stride.

Maggette's signing probably means Monta at the point.

Maggette’s main qualm w/ Dunleavy Sr was not starting. He’s also more of a 3 than a 2. Jax played 2 in Indy and in the Atl so he’ll probably be the 2 guard. Though who plays the 2/3 between Jax/Maggette on a given night will probably have more to do w/ match ups than anything. So for now, the starters potentially looks like:

PG – Monta
SG/SF – Jax
SF/SG – Maggette
PF – Harrington
C – Biedrins
