Monta Doing Boxing
RealGm Sports is reporting that Monta is working out with andre wards boxing trainer to gain muscle and(if you can believe it) more quickness. Monta i said to be working out a lot also on his ball handling. do you think we will see a superstar this season in monta ellis.
The Facts are that Corey Maggette will probably hinder Montas development as he is a driver who rarely looks for other teamates. Mota will be running the offense so even though he will have the ball in his hands more, he will not take as many or many more shots. I believe he will have a 21 point, 6 assist, 5 rebound, 3 turnover a game season. This good but not nearly good enough for the warriors to seriously contend in the west.

Monta Ellis
better defense + more shot blocking + more rebounds = more transition baskets = more Monta-fast-breaks

Monta
This is going to help him. He is a bit one dimensional at the moment, and this is a step towards changing this. As for the 21 points a game prediction…youre way off, i see him around tops in the league at about 28 or 29. He IS going to get better, and better, and with his shot getting better…watch out!

u crazy
any team that needs a player to score 28 29 in this age does not do well.
monta probably could score 28-29 with a shitty FG percentage if he wanted, but I see him most effective at 20 -21

what i am saying is
he will be a lot better but still there are many factors that will keep his scoring down to that level. one he is the number one option, he will have the best perimeter defenders in the league on him. second he will running the point looking for others more. and third maggette wont really give back the ball once he gets it too often so maggette wont pass to monta as much when hes open as baron did. these shots were 3-5 points a game so he will be subtracting 5 points a game and i see an improvement in skill level by 6 or 7 points a game. what my point is he is a lot better but wont score too many more points

I hate Maggette's ball hog rap.
He played for the Clipps last year. He was in Dunleavy’s offense and he was their only legit player for most of the season, plus it was a contract year. Yes he prefers to drive and get to the line, but with Baron gone, we need that sort of player. Plus he has said this is Monta’s team, the organization let him know what his role is. So once you consider the fact that Maggette is playing in this style of offense and he will probably be in the top 5 as far as FTA’s I say he stays around 22 a game, maybe more. Monta will also have around that same total. I’m just glad that if one is drawing the best defender, the other will be able to own, and we still have Jack! Just having those 2 on the court along with players like Andris, Al, Turiaf, and Buike will make him prone to pass more

I completely concur.
Rejoiced with each win
But whenever we lost
I walked to the bars
And got myself tossed

One of the commentator coaches once said...
“The first drive sets you up, the second drive kills you”. Or maybe he was quoting Phil Jackson… who knows. My point is that Monta can take the double team, dish it to Maggs, who’ll destroy his 1-1 opponent and either get to the line or get a layup. Or vice versa. Or they can give it to Beans at the end. Just because a player likes to take short range shots isn’t a bad thing. It’ll also lead to more bodies down low for offensive rebounds. We’ll be fine. The talent is there.

when ur coming off the bench as a scoring machine
you’re supposed to ball hog.
plus, even if maggette is a black hole on offense, he’s a black hole that can get to the line and provide reliable scoring

The thought
Monta posting up gives me the chills.
Boy am I looking forward to this season. Sure wish I wasn’t in Washington. Not many Warriors games televised up here. :( :(

Very true
With his mid range shot improving and all of his other skills improving, he is already an unstoppable scorer. If he could develop a post up game, that is scary.

if
monta get quicker he might make Hussein Lightning Bolt look slow. hey anybody know if he can shoot a basketball hes almost 6’6 and quick and got a last name that would match with the Warriors. hmmm???? Mullin go talk to him and make sure he don’t play football and play with us!
So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

i wanna see him bulk up
just to see him handle baron.
besides, more than anything the added strength should help his longevity and to continue to not get injured. in fact, i hope he doesnt bulk up too much cuz having too much muscle at such speed is bad for the joints.

Al's reach...
…would destroy Monta. Monta would have no chance of ever landing a headshot.
I pray i never have to use a gun again...

...and somebody tries to run me over with their car...
...But how often does that happen??

Monta
Will get 24 ppg, 56% fgp, 80% ftp, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 turnovers, and 2 steals
According to the comminsioner of the nfl, 104 people retired last year. 7 due to age, and the rest because of Patrick Willis

glad we got that cleared up. i was worried we’d have to wait until they finished the season to get those numbers.

Monta Doing Boxing?
this can’t be good. boxers are trained to be dumber than ball players, would do him more good to study chess.
