How Scary the clips could of been

Pheww....man honestly the clips franchise would of been BEASTING the west  if they did not lose there two key players. Think about it. A big man like Brand? A scorer like Maggette and a leader like BD? Wow thats what you call a team. Yeah lets not even metion the bench and the alts. Chirs Kaman,AL Thorton and rookie eric gordon to back up bd? Woah that team has the potential of being 3rd or 4th seed in the west and MAYBE even a title since brand is inspired of getting one bd in the prime of his career. Yet our franchise does not realize we threw away our best player and a leader to our dubs... Do you see Spurs letting Duncan go? Lakers letting Kobe go? He did wanted to be traded at one point...didn't he?How bout celtics letting pierce go?NO YOU DONT.Why  these teams keep these players? Becuase they know if they were gone the franchise will fall APART. Anyways one love to our dubs i support Monta on carrying the team and Beans developing into a bosh type of player. One Love and yes I still believe in playoffs even if its a no xD

Let's stop beating a dead horse.

The warriors did not let Baron go. Baron chose to opt out at the last second and Baron chose to go to L.A.

could HAVE been

i know it sounds like “could of”, but that is a contraction of “could have” spelled “could’ve”. also, when referring to the clippers players, write “their”.

I'm keen on the professional basketball club The Golden State Warriors. I don't fancy other clubs.

Yeah, I was very disappointed when Brand decided to move back east. I’d have loved to see Boom, Brand and Magette together, sorta like a west coast version of the Celtics.Could of been fun to watch.

you forgot shawn livingston also

he’s going to be an allstar soon. its funny how things just works it self out. bd’s master plan kinda took a big crap on him. i guess he’s not a total loser in this cuz he did get paid.

i thought that...

the clips were able to sign BD bcoz they let go of their rights to magette? so it was either they had brand-magette or brand-davis right?

by japoyy on Aug 4, 2008 9:25 PM PDT reply reply   0 recs

thats what was originally was thought

But the Maggatte said there was basically a deal to come back and build the big 3 like boston, at least that is what he thought until Brand changed his mind. So its means Maggette would have to come back on the cheap.

it took you what a month to come up with this idea for a post.

by Agent Zero on Aug 4, 2008 11:43 PM PDT reply reply   0 recs

yea i dunno

they are the clippers they would have failed.

by Foulacy on Aug 5, 2008 12:12 AM PDT reply reply   0 recs

agreed

By the way, Maggette was gone no matter what. Otherwise they would’ve kept him after Brand left for sure. In my opinion, a team with Baron, Gordon, Thornton, Brand, and Kaman would’ve been good enough to get a decent seed in the playoffs, but just bad enough to get knocked out in the second round. BD is the only clutch player on that team, and that only matters when he’s healthy. It would’ve been nice to have him for another year her in GS, but he’s a horrible long term investment. Four more years until we’re talking about Baron Davis’s expiring contract.

To think they almost had Kobe Bryant last year. can you imagine a

team with Kobe, Brand, Baron, KG, CP3, DWill, DHoward, It almost happened and would if the salary cap was 300 Million/ year. Or maybe all the players would simply take the veteran minimum to make the Clippers the best team in the history of pro sports. We can only hope so. What are your thoughts?

Looks like our Olympic team

Unfortunately, that team may lose to some team lacking the same star power like Spain or Aregentina. Maybe we should build the Warriors around the winner of the gold medal in the Olympics.

by Fantasy Junkie on Aug 6, 2008 12:43 PM PDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

Hell no,

while that team could get lucky and upset the US, in a 7 game series there is no way in hell.

by belilaugh on Aug 8, 2008 12:49 AM PDT to parent up reply reply   0 recs

the threat of the clippers

is why we overpaid and offered more money than any other team for maggette…we knew if we signed him, the clippers would be screwed. which, now, they are.
