GSOM Night - East Coast Style

I'm a former East Bay kid trying to represent the Dub-Love here in New York City, and I have to admit, that in the past few years I've been coming to this site, I've been quite jealous when reading about the great times you guys have at the Oracle when you do the GSOM nights.  I have noticed that there are several of you like myself who are not in the Bay Area, but we seem to be pretty scattered.

Anyway, I was thinking maybe we could do some kind of "Unofficial GSOM Night" here on the East Coast and have some GSOM'ers meet up at one of the Dubs' road games.  I was thinking in particular the November 29th game at Madison Square Garden would be good, it's a Saturday night, plus it's against the Knicks so it would be a likely Warrior victory.

Would there be any interest in something like this at all?  There probably aren't enough of us to get group tickets, but it would be cool to represent and meet some of ya'll.  I would be into trying to organize something if there was any interest at all.  If there is no interest, that's ok, I'm still going to try to go that game and I'll represent all by my lonesome.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Good Stuff, West Coast - East Coast Warriors Represent...

Yeah this sounds like a good plan. I was living in NYC last year and I went to the Dubz game against the Knicks where we beat them by like 20 +. I was repping the bay real good with Oaktown hat and oldschool Richardson Jersy. Was in a rowdy Knicks fans section but I didn’t give a f…. , I was rowdy and hyphy.. It would be nice 2 have a only Dubz section for fans representing the raucous Oracle. I would join the group too but I’m back in the bay now. Have fun yall at MSG representing the Blue and Gold.

stay tuned

I go to school in ATL and Georgia Tech, and I’m going back there in a week. This post has got me hyped and possibly inspired me to do a Southern Style GSOM night!!! Big ups dude for the inspiration.

Any chance of trying to get tickets in Boston?

Heh… just kidding, but I’m still going to try to go. I’d be down with a road trip. Let me know how this pans out.

Just spoke with Group Sales at MSG

...ticket pricing and info won’t be available for a few more weeks, but they will contact me as soon as they have the information. They don’t know yet if that will be a game they offer discounted tickets for (she said typically the Warriors games are, but that isn’t determined yet). We would have to have a group of at least 20 in order to get any discount…maybe we can make that, maybe not – but we can still get group tickets as long as the group is 9 people – maybe we definitely can get that?

I’ll keep ya’ll updated as things progress…but it seems like we definitely are down for this, right?
