GSoM Fantasy League this year?

I know it's way early to be asking this, but Adam at FastBreak got me thinking about fantasy basketball w/ his  latest post .   I'm wondering if the folks who set up the GSoM fantasy basketball league at SportingNews.com last year were planning on repeating that this year?

I loved the version of fantasy basketball that sportingnews.com used and GSoM had some good fantasy managers and some close contests. I hope it happens again.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

“have to be like 50 different leagues?”
Year before last I played and there was one league with about 125 players. The season was split into two halves, IIRC Sleepy won the first half but I can’t recall who won the second half?

It was a salary cap league where everyone could pick any players they wanted. The players were used by multiple participants. We had I think a 2 or 3 transaction limit per week. I dint play last year so I don’t know if it was a one season thing or not.

there was one league....

We just had one league with, yeah, I think between 80-100 people playing the first half of the season and maybe 50-60 playing the second half. There was definitely no limit on how many people could join, but I’m pretty sure it was set up so that only GSoM members could join, which was pretty tight in a way.

We've done it before

The past couple years we used Sporting News because it’s a salary cap league and an unlimited number of people could compete against each other. The salary cap league means everyone can pick the same players, it’s just that those players’ salaries have to fit under your cap. It was fun. Feel free to start up a league for GSOMers. I’m sure you’ll get at least 50-75 participants maybe more.
