Bored... Pre-season line ups

What do you guys think would be a fun line-up to tryout during Pre-season? I haven't seen many new threads so been bored.

Lineup 1: PG:Anthony Randolph SG:Jackson SF:Magette PF:Harrington C:Biedrins

I think I heard Randolph started as a pointguard but then all of a sudden freakishly grew 5 inches or so. Ultimate matchup problem for the other team... It would be fun to see the warriors have a tall line up and not midgets... This would be a very versatile lineup and maybe Beans worked on a mid-range jumpshot over the summer like he said he would.

Lineup 2:PG:Williams SG:Magette SF:Jackson PF:Hendrix C:Harrington

Sort of a weird lineup but I think Hendrix would be able to compliment Harrington pretty well. For some reason I have high hopes for Hendrix. Hopefully he can be the bruiser we always wanted.

Lineup 3: PG: SG: SF: PF: C: let's hear what you guys think.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Boring daysssssss

It’s really boring these days, no news, no rumors….does anyone know what happened with the Livingston project, I know Mully went to chicago to watch him workout but never heard the outcome….

Anyways….to stay with the subject in this post, my lineup would be

1. Williams 2. Maggette 3. Jackson 4. Wright 5. Biedrins

Livingston...

Last I heard Portland was interested in him and planning to sign him depending on his medical records

Put a little mustard on it

Williams Jack Maggette Turiaf Biedrins is my guess for what it WILL be.
I’d like to see- Williams, Jack, Randolph, Wright, Biedrins with Maggette as the 6th man

I’m pretty sure Nellie said that Turiaf and Biedrins can’t stretch the floor enough; expect Turiaf to to be the backup center.

yea i meant

to put harrington, dont know what I was thinking

Bored too

Here’s one:

PG: Williams
SG: Buike
SF: Jackson
PF: Maggette
C: Harrington

Everyone can shoot. Maggette should have a lot of space to drive past his slow oversized defender. Marcus could drive and kick out to any of the other guys. The obvious problem here is that none of these guys can rebound, but it would be fun to watch and it’s very nellie.

Or

PG: Randolph
SG: Jackson
SF: Wright
PF: Turiaf
C: Biedrins

That would be, uh… interesting to see. We are talking about preseason after all. That’s one long (s)crappy group.

I’d rather see Wright at PF spot in such a lineup.

The only problem...

is that Wright was on the team last year and the whole point of that line-up was that they are all new Warriors.

the best part is clearly

marco at the small forward. can you imagine lil’ rambo guarding lebron james or carmelo anthony or realistically, anyone who has ever played small forward at any level? priceless.

ideal preseason lineup

is the one that keeps our most crucial players on the bench and out of harm’s way until the games count. now, if only they could keep themselves healthy when not they’re not playing…

a fun line-up to tryout during Pre-season?

I’d like to see Alexis at point, Nellie at shooting guard,E40 at SF, Thunder at PF, and Jack London at center.

i think e-40

is definitely a 4 man

"If you hit .440 with 20 bombs, you don't have to do s---. You don't have to bring a glove to practice, just hit and leave whenever you want. You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' Actually, don't say that, that wouldn't be very nice." -Steve Friend, Head Coach, Chabot College Gladiators Baseball

oh well in that case

we’ll have to go big…e-40 probably can’t stay in front of 3’s but we would have a mismatch on offense

lol

obviously we need to let marcus williams get a lot of reps in during the preseason, so he’s gonna be the startng 1 every game. but one idea i like aside from that would be starting wing players only along with biedrins and randolph at the power forward. on paper one of the guards, let’s say jackson or azuibuki would be classified as the point guard, but in reality we’d have anthony running the ball up the floor. one really posiive this would accomplish would be havin the other team’s post player guarding randolph on the perimeter, we all know nelli’s philosophy about only having one guy who consistently clogs up the middle, in this case biedrins, and the reason this would be more positive than harrington would be because anthony would be “handling” the ball, not just aspot up shooter.

by Bigben777 on Sep 16, 2008 12:10 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

btw

as a side note i’d like to say that if randlolph lives up to his potentiol, he’d be absolutely the best small forward for our system, for two reasons. one is he’d take a lot of pressure off of monta ellis having to handle the basketball, and two is that he’d also take a lot of pressure off of biedrins and wright with his rebounding and shot blocking ability. a lot of us worry about the future where our skinny post players would have to man up against what portland has going on, what the lakers have going on, the hornets etc. with randolph we’d have a guy who could solve a lot of our problems. look at the width of his shoulders, the dude is going to turn into a strong polayer in this league, he solves two of our biggest weaknesses all at once, i can’t wait to see nelli starting ellis randolph wright and biedrins all at the same time. woo hoo!

by Bigben777 on Sep 16, 2008 12:13 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I go all Lefties

PG – M Williams
SG – C Mullin (coming out retirement)
SF – A Randolph (he should change his number to 15 and be known as AR-15)
PF – B Wright
C – Biedrins

Monta, Jackson. Maggette and Harrington off the bench. No question we would have the best bench and top 6th man in the league.

Put a little mustard on it

by The Barnes Supremacy on Sep 16, 2008 12:17 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

why oh why did we not pick up Kareem Rush

then our all lefty line up would finally be complete.

by the evil monkey on Sep 16, 2008 10:55 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

bwright , randolph

Seems like they are similar players, just randolph has a better handle and a lil more athletic. It doesn’t really make sense to have two left handed skinny long 6"10 guys with “potential”

by FeartheBeard4 on Sep 16, 2008 1:14 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

only that

they are not really similar other than stature

"If you hit .440 with 20 bombs, you don't have to do s---. You don't have to bring a glove to practice, just hit and leave whenever you want. You can bring a 40 and smoke a cigarette and call me from the parking lot asking me what time the game is, and I'll tell you. You can even say 'F--- you, Steve!' it does if they dominate

wright is more of a solid player that does the dirty work. randolph is probably going to be more of a playmaker and a guy that creates his own shot.

by bojangles408 on Sep 16, 2008 3:11 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

wha?

wright and anthony are two completely different players. superfically they’re both around the same height, skinny and lefthanded, but their games are way different.

i know!

let’s make monta play injured!
