I really can't find anything that I disagree with, this is a rare non-warrior affiliated article that I feel does justice to the situation that we are in, even if it's from a fantasy perspective. I agreed with him on wright, on marcus williams being a biggest potential sleeper, on harrington being the biggest potentiol disappointment. the writer completely nails it/ 1 2 3

pretty accurate
but I think Morrow and Hendrix both have a good shot of making the team. With Monta out I only see 11 other guys who are locks-williams, jackson, maggette, harrington, biedrins, cj, buike, raldolph, wright turiaf, and bellinelli.

I'm really liking the Maggette signing.
I think that with He, Monta and Jax, we have 3 guys who can close out games. They each can do certain things well: Monta can get to the rim and finish, Maggette gets to the line, and Jack has the uncanny ability to make clutch outside shots.
I believe that given more time on the court, AB should be that double/double machine. I’m going to say around 10-12 PPG, but also around 12-14 RPG. I’d say Camby-esque numbers minus the plus-plus defense.
The one weak spot on the roster (and it is a GLARING weakspot) is the PF position. Al can’t cut it against real PF’s in the league. We can argue all we want about who’s fault it is about his ineffectiveness, but the guy has not produced. If only Mr. Brand would’ve come up North…sigh. I like our depth. I like Marcus, Brandan, Kelenna, and Anthony as our key backups.

glad to hear it
I cant get myself beyond being down on the Maggette signing (I like him as a player, just feel we waaaay overpaid) but kenntoe youre often right, and I usually agree with you, so I’m glad to hear you say that.

I think we'll be pulling our hair out if he settles for too many outside shots.
He should take it to the rack every time.

nah
the 4 spot has been strengthened, the biggest weakspot we have will be pointguard by the time monta ellis comes back.

I can agree with that...slightly.
Although I really, really like Brandan Wright and Anthony Randolph, you can never be 100% sure that they’ll be the answer to our frontcourt needs until they actually produce.
Our PG spot is a definite weak spot thus far because of Monta’s injury and we still have yet to see what Marcus can do (I have high hopes). But I still think we have enough talent to cover up these weaknesses. I think our system just needs a guy that can bring up the ball and get it to our wings in the right spots. I think if we can model our offense the way the Spanish Olympic team did, we wouldn’t really need a ball dominant pg. Instead, we’d have 2-3 players that can dribble and pass.
I still believe we need a talented offensive bigman to compliment Andris. Hopefully that’ll be Brandan or Anthony. But I don’t think it’ll be this year.

i'd say that for the next few years
it’s our shakiest position. if monta can run the point, which i understand is still an ‘if’, we have a lot of talent at every position that we can be comfortable with. every postion except the 4. randolph has more potential, i’d say. it seems to me that wright should end up as a very good sixth man or a below average starter. he’s a role player. he does some nice things, could be very good in bursts, but i just don’t see a ton of potential to be a truly great player. i hope i’m wrong.
randolph on the other hand, seems to have a lot of potential to be very good. the kind of guy who can do everything on the offensive end and play a little d. he also could be a total bust. he was a risky pick, but one that seems to be working out so far. that said, he might be a better sf than pf.
that leaves us with monta ellis, efficient scoring machine, stephen jackson, heart, soul, defense. corey maggette, bucket getter. andris biedrins, one of the best players in the league on the offensive glass. and a whole lot of “eh” at the power forward. for now, i’ll take harrington over the rest, but i don’t think that’s set for long. of course, jack will be gone after next year, leaving a spot for randolph. but can wright fill the void at the 4? i’m not so sure.

i think
randolph will suprise us a bit, if not right away he’ll become a valuable player for us down the stretch when our team nosedives. i don’t think the extension for jackson is going to happen unless mullin is way more incompetent than i think he is, this is a combustible situation that isn’t being spoken about too much. there’s too much potential for turmoil amongst our team, sooner or later it’ll be about the youth movement, full fledged.
