Semi-OT: GSoMers @ UC Davis

Any of you all up here?

I just got here as an incoming freshmen, was wondering............

if any other GSoMers are here in UCD or in the surrounding communities. I vaguely remember some time ago where I read of a couple of ya'll up here.

Was also wondering if any of you guys were interested in heading up to Arco when the dubs visit the Kings on:

is it that bad? i went there once cause all these davis people like 100’s of them said go eat there. it was good sushi for the price but after reading your comment more im thinking how the hell do they have that much sushi for less than 20 bucks and consider it fresh. dam now im starting to feel sick

Went to Davis

Graduated in 06’. I miss that place. You are lucky cuz the Kings suck now. When I went there it was all about Kings fever….still remember ppl going crazy about the kings lakers playoffs.

at least you guys don’t go to sonoma state. it smells like shit almost everyday and i mean literally cause we got cows near us. and try being one of the only brown people in a class of 50 and the other 49 are white.

Actually...

I just graduated back in June and I’m still in the area. I was trying to set up something last year for the Kings game with the other fellow GSoMers up in the area….but this year its definetly on. I’ll keep everyone updated on how we’ll do it…and we’ll take over Arco baby!!

the dubz came to ucsd my freshman year (2004)

my roommate and i snuck into the gym while they were supposed to be practicing (found an unlocked door!), but they were having a meeting instead, so we only saw a few guys shooting around, including biedrins and fisher.

i might be wrong, but i don’t think the team really tells anyone/the public that they’re showing up pretty much until they do, to avoid massive media overage and/or swarms of people. the lakers came here a few years ago too, and kobe actually stood around taking pictures with people, which was actually pretty cool of him.
