Team chairman Clay Bennett said the team colors will be blue, red and orange — blue to coincide to with the main color of Oklahoma’s state flag and red and orange to reflect the colors of the sunset.
First they still our mascot's name for their team name. Now they are stilling our colors(two of them atleast)! What kind of bull crap is that. I know the NBA doesn't seem to like the Warriors that much, but this is just wiping our faces in it. I'm wondering why the Warriors' FO isn't saying much about this. Our we looking it change our colors and mascot soon?

That's to "prevent conflict" between OU and OSU fans....
During the ceremony, Clay Bennett said, “Not too red and not too orange.” Oklahoma is coloured red, and Oklahoma State is coloured orange.

Living in Oklahoma and listening to the local news, I can assure you that it was an OU-OSU thing. They wanted to appeal to both fanbases.

the nuggets, pacers, and grizz all use blue and yellow.
just variations of blue. I’m down to do whatever with the jersey’s. I think we need new ones though. I’d be down to keep the orange, but we’d have use it less. Mostly Blue and Gold, with just a hint of orange. The real question is, would we have gold or orange third jerseys? Or would we have Gold(mustard yellow, whatever it is) home jerseys?
