Whats wrong with The Oklahoma City Sonics?

I think that "The Oklahoma City Super Sonics" has a particular ring to it...

Oklahoma City is changing the name of thier newly aquired NBA franchise.  but to what??  the leading cantidate would have the team aquire the name "The Oklahoma City Thunders".

that names wack, and I think the Sonics is a cool name. maybe the locals could adopt a nickname for them and call the team just the "super sonics"?

I believe.

That during the court rulings, the city of Seattle gets to keep the name, colors and history of the sonics franchise should another team get created.

Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.

well

they already stole the team i would not want them to steal the name too that would make it even worse. they deserve a crappy name and logo, colors for being a stolen team especially the way they did it. unless they become like the browns/ravens! they got all good after running away. but it will be funny though a great team with a ugly jersey and logo that would be kinda hilarious.

Ugh...

Craptacular photoshop job. As for the OKC team keeping the Soncis name. That was a no go just like an earlier poster stated because in 75 million dollar settlement that the City of Seattle insisted that the history and name stay in the 206. However, apart of the settlement they have a shared history (if Seattle ever gets another team… which is highly unlikely). Therefore, you might see Wilkins, Brown, McMillian and other Sonic greats with there numbers retired as Thunder numbers in OKC. As I’ve posted before both Kemp and Payton on record saying they wouldn’t show up to OKC if they retired their numbers.

A Sonics fan without a team.. Though I'm auditioning GS Warriors this season.

not orginal... at all

Because one of the piece of evidents in the trial to keep the team in Seattle was an email benefit two of main investors in the PBC saying they should call them the Sonic Boombers.
