Golden State to void Ellis' contract?
If this report is true, it's bad news for Monta and the Warriors. From the article,
Ellis suffered a career ending motorcycle injury on August 21st and at first lied to the team about the circumstances which led to the injury before finally coming clean over the weekend.
the Warriors held a conference call with their lawyers over the weekend to begin discussions about voiding the contract...on the call were GM Chris Mullin, team President Robert Rowell, and surprisingly, head coach Don Nelson...Nelson has been the most adamant about terminating the contract and was strongly opposed to the Warriors signing Ellis to the deal in the first place...according to the source, Nelson had been urging Mullin to trade Ellis the past two seasons...
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

wow
did this seem real to you
"Nelson reportedly had a grin from ear to ear at the end of the call and promised Mullin and Rowell a playoff birth in the upcoming season before shitting himself… "
obviously a fake article…. with no source.

not to mention this part
“..one Doctor told the Warriors that there may be a chance that Ellis never walks again…that was apparently enough information for Warriors management to make their decision…”
right… never walk again? what is this?? a spinal cord injury?

haha
as much as i kinda want this to be real for some reason cause since he is hurt and probably wont be 100% for a year or two we might as well have traded him or got the money. but i dont have a time machine to go tell the warriors this was gonna happen. but oh well. forreal though anybody got a flux capacitor?!
So I don't have a signature well these words would do! Who knew that upgrades can have downgrades too!

Wow!
Shows what kind of faith you have in him. At max he’ll be 100% by the 09-10 season and you want to trade him because he won’t be at 100% for a season that we weren’t going to make the playoffs in anyways?

dont look that bright either and your having no faith for our team. and since you are using your name ill just use b diddy for a example. baron got hurt a lot in Charlotte/N.O remember. he was such a great player but to get something worth they traded him when he still had value and it payed off. i was just saying if we knew monta would get a serious injury that we could of got something for him and probably alot. but who knew it would happen. and he tore a major muscle i dont really think 1 year would be enough for him. and monta’s game is based on him being a runner slasher and that would be hard for a long time with what he had. but oh well.

i thought
NO/Charlotte traded Baron cause Baron had frequent clashes with Byron Scott. I highly doubt the Hornets would have traded Baron if he was happy there.

Baron was an injury risk who didn’t get along with the coach and had more or less quit on the team. The “value” that they got was an expiring contract in Davis and an adequate backup PG in Speedy. The expiring meant that they were essentially dumping Baron’s contract for nothing, something that made sense for them only because they were in a position to be
What “payed off” (sic) for NO was drafting Paul and acquiring Chandler for some disposable parts. If they dumped Baron and had instead taken Felton or Webster instead of Paul, they’d still be complaining about the trade in NO.

No
Give me a break, they’re not going to void his contract. Come on now. They’ll fine him, he’s going to be fine.
