Around SBN: Missouri Survives Scare, Louisville And Marquette Roll

I Posted a FanPost of Yahoo! Sports reporting that Ellis could make his debut on Friday and it gets DELETED AND I GET WARNED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Golden State of Oppression.

Yahoo! Sports:

Jan 15 G G Monta Ellis (ankle) practiced with the team for the first time this season Tuesday and reported no pain or swelling afterward in his surgically repaired left ankle. If all goes well at Thursday's workout, he might make his 2008-09 season debut Friday at home against the Hawks. Ellis underwent surgery on his ankle in August.

WHY THIS COULDN'T BE A FANPOST IS BEYOND ME.

holdemup…why weren’t you at the game last night? Didn’t you say that when you’re at the game…they win? =(

They only want lies and crap written by Tim Kawakami

or stories on how many churros Atma snuck into the game. Real news has no place on GSoM!

nice

unsourced rumor… nellie said today that monta ellis isn’t ready and he had a real bad practice.

it got deleted because its unsubstantiated rumor. yahoo based it only on the fact that he practiced tuesday.

fail

not at all when it comes to return dates from injuries. Anyone who plays yahoo fantasy can tell you they are almost always wrong

yahoo’s last report about a projected return date for Monta said he could be back Dec. 17th. I wouldnt put too much stock in that

HoLdEmUP

I know you are excited for Monta to play already just as alot of fans are, but as saintdee mentioned he had a real bad practice so Nellie isn’t going to play him until he is ready.

He mentioned it on KNBR yesterday stating that his ankle is not even an issue anymore (great to hear). His play in practice is holding down the weight with his return and Nellie mentioned that his ball control was terrible.

For once with my whole Nellie bashing (on GSoM or outside of online talk), I agree with Nellie and I wouldn’t want Monta in until he is ready.

I’m sure he’ll have some jitters upon his return, but I would rather be convinced through his play in practice before I play him.

I want him back as much as everyone rooting for him to come back, but I’ll remain patient.

oh i do NOT want monta to come back early

but i was hoping this report means he’s ready. no update today from yahoo so it probably means monta wont be back tonight.

oh ok.

Most likely next week.

(if he plays better in practice and Nellie is convinced)

In the original poster's defense....

between an unlikely rumor posted on a decent site such as Yahoo vs. a farfetch trade idea like if we are to trade SJax for TMac.

I’ll take the rumor. At the very least, we get the idea how many can’t wait to see Monta back on the court and how many share my hope that he comes back better than ever but not until 20 games into the end of the season, with the team looking at a top pick in the draft.
