Hollinger Most Similar....
Hollinger Most Similar….
Just thought this would be a fun quick read. I was looking at Warrior stats at ESPN, checking out PERs and what not and started reading the Hollinger player profiles and thought it would be a fun quick read to see who each player is most similar like at the age. I apologize if this has been done before.

Biedrins and Curry are nothing alike.
Interesting that Maggette is similar to Pierce when most people have really different opinions about the two.
It's a purely statistical comparison...
Will be interesting to see what happens next year with Biedrins… people forget how young he is.

according
to nellie biedrins has maxed out.
yea i can see that
he will still refine his game though. but i for one dont see him making great strides on the offensive end past what he is.
according to Nellie
Biedrins just scratching the surface of his game right now
Here’s the vid where Nellie says that
what you see right now from him is called ‘too much responsibility 4 not enough upper body strength’
-in next 2 years he will add about 20 – 30 pounds and imagine if he is able to be 14+12 guy right now then in 25 years he will be one of top centers -especially considering his NBA experience level

no
in the last interview Nellie gave he said Andris had pretty much maxed out unless he learned to use his right hand more or developed a jumper. Thats not exactly “just beginning to tap his potential”

That’s Nellie motivating I think. Son, if you don’t learn to use your right, you’re as good as you’re going to get. And he’s absolutely right. Of course I think we’ll see Biedrins get better with the right hand.
Right hand...
Your right, I think it was Nellie mind games. We have in fact seen him use his right hand quite often this year compare to last season when he never used it. I don’t see any reason to believe that he won’t continue to improve as time goes on. Even if he only improved his strength slowly over time he will end up being a better player defensively.

I am going to fill in all the N/As with ex Warriors.
Randolph = Carlos Rogers
CJ = Bimbo Coles
Bellinelli = Tim Legler
Davidson = Patrick O’bryant
Kurz = David Wood
Morrow = Mitch Richmond
Wright = Chris Gatling
For the sake of our future, this is one time I hope I am sooooo wrong!
OK.....
I will give CJ = Speedy Claxton but that’s it.
I do admit however that his defense has improved soo much in the last few games compared to the beginning of the season. i think this has alot to do with him competing with bellinelli for PT. Either that or he is a frequent reader of GSOM :)

belinelli=legler? how? Legler could shoot, but couldnt do a whole lot else. Belinellis seems to be showing he’s not really a marksman, but can do some other things. other than the fact that they are both white and play guard I dont see many similarities. Its kinda hilarious how white guys are always only compared to other white guys.

Owens was a high percentage shooter, but had little range. He had a real ability to distribute the ball as a forward. His contributions as a rookie were very important. Randolph doesn’t seem particularly similar.
Belinelli and Marciulionis are both white and European and are both guards. Their games aren’t similar at all. Sarunas got to the line all the time and could drive in on anyone. Belinelli seems to avoid contact and shoots more jumpers. Sarunas is twice the rebounder Belinelli is.

is saying that monta is on the block and that there is a 35% chance he’ll be traded before the deadline. This is getting annoying and I think it’s a bunch of bs.
monta is on the block
Who does it say we might get for Moped?

I like the Monta comparison
I’ve always been labeling Monta as a taller and more athletic version of Tony Parker, along with a Wade-esque smoothness to his game when he’s in the air.

Parker’s become a very good distributor and can run a team from the point. Ellis so far is an attacking guard who’s generally looking for his own shot. Not that he can’t transform into a point guard, but that last step is a big one……
It's a good path to follow...
Parker was never regarded as a distributor too, but over time he learned.
