…been called Moped Ellis… not exactly a homogenous nickname.
True, I don’t think people have adopted the nickname, though I’ve been calling him just “Moped” for short recently. And I think Atma called him Moped Ellis in the article the NY Times probably read.

Would be more truthful, but it doesn’t quite have the same snap…
fwiw, I know personally at least one loyal GSoMer (loyal reader, very sporadic writer) who’s a regular writer for the NYT. He’s a true blue fan, from the early Barry days; and his favorite current player, without question, is Moped. Er, Montay. Er, Monta.

“Monte”. Uhhhh. That one has to be the most annoying and it’s the clearest sign that someone is a bandwagoner.
