Polling GSoM Makes The New York Times

Did you rock the vote?

Well if you did then you made The New York Times! Jump from the Bay to NY to see why...

Big ups to loyal GSoMer Daniel Kiely for not only spotting the GSoM shout out in this past Sunday's Basketball section in the Sunday Sports page of the NY Times, but for also scanning it in and emailing it to us.

New York is in a Golden State of Mind!

Where he has...

…been called Moped Ellis… not exactly a homogenous nickname.

True, I don’t think people have adopted the nickname, though I’ve been calling him just “Moped” for short recently. And I think Atma called him Moped Ellis in the article the NY Times probably read.

“On the Warriors fansite Golden State of Mind, where he has been called Moped, Monte, and Montay, and where a mock BlueNote jazz album entitled "Ellis to the Rim” has been photoshopped in his honor…"

Would be more truthful, but it doesn’t quite have the same snap…

fwiw, I know personally at least one loyal GSoMer (loyal reader, very sporadic writer) who’s a regular writer for the NYT. He’s a true blue fan, from the early Barry days; and his favorite current player, without question, is Moped. Er, Montay. Er, Monta.

“Monte”. Uhhhh. That one has to be the most annoying and it’s the clearest sign that someone is a bandwagoner.

How hard is it? It’s “Monta” or “Moped”!

I love the last line when Monta is asked about this past summer, “That’s behind me. I don’t even remember”. Glad he learned something from it.

Poet and philosopher George Santayana
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

So true, so true

But I’d like Monta to be the exception to that rule.

That’s behind me. I don’t even remember

content means taht he just don’t want or can’t talk about it not that he really doesn’t remember

-it’s like -that’s behind us -let’s look forward
-i don’t think it’s really possible to forget why you lose millions of $ -that should be complete amnesia
