Nellie will start making his case directly to fans ... on Warriors Radio Roundtable [Examiner]
Whether you're a Nellie fan or a Nellie hater, you have to appreciate it when the head coach of your favorite team does something like this. If one of you manages to get on the show, make sure to ask Nellie: 1) when he's coming on the GSoM show and 2) did he dig the GSoM Night 5 tees.
If you've never listened to The Don Nelson Show on KNBR with the Razor and Mr. T you're missing out!

Nellie is fun to listen to
Tom: “Was last night just really good Dallas offense in the first half or really horrible defense?”
Nellie: “We sucked.”

Yeah, missing out on a lot of bullshit. Nellie will say one thing one day and something completely different the next day. The only constant is he’s inconsistent. I was surprised to just read that he said he thought they were playing good before Montay returned? Apparently “good” doesn’t mean winning?
Do you think they are gonna pre screen the questions on that call in show, cause I’ve got lots?
Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?
I noticed there's so many of them
and there's really not that many of us.

Yeah, missing out on a lot of bu!!$hizz
This is rediculous. Nellie is really the last honest, original character in professional sports. fHe speaks his mind whether its same thing every day or not. Pro sports has become as stale an institution as your local tax accountant’s office. Intense media scrutiny and roomer mongering has driven away all the characters like Ali, Reggie, Bob Gibson, etc… Even Barkley might finally be forced to run to ground. Coaches, GM"s, players, etc of the last 20 years pick your favorite BS sports cliche interview answer… Nobody says anything of interest or with any shred of honesty. We’re left with guys like Bonds who refuses to talk, or guys like Kobe who has mastered talking while saying nothing. BORING. Unfortunately, Nellie himself has said recently that his biggest disappointment is that he feels like he has to sensor himself because of all the BS out there in the media.
So, for all the geniuses here who loved it when Nellie was at the post game playoff press conferences with a beer, but who now never miss an opportunity to yell “EFF Nellie!!”: If you think you’re any different than Kawakami you are fooling yourselves. Congradulations. You’ve done it… And we’re all gonna get what you deserve when we get the next boring stiff in here because the combination of bad management, blood thirsty media, and brain-dead fans have brow-beaten the personality out of every last sports personality. PJ Carlesimo, come on down!

Maybe, but that doesn’t make him likeable or dependable. We went thru the whole Nellie thang many years ago and know from experience that he’s a big schemer who’s fun for a while but who’s act gets old after he drives away our best talents,at which time we are glad to see him hit the road.
Maybe if he had those sensors he’d understand what people really want from him?
Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?

Soo, what exacty has he done recently to indicate that its 1994 all over again? And don’t say Anthony Randolph, at this point the guy is still a black hole on offense and swiss cheese on defense… Maybe he drove away Harrington. And sure he can have a sour demeanor, but he’s trying to reach out to the fans by having radio appearances. Why is that a bad thing? Why bother calling bullshit? True or not, anything he says is a lot closer to honesty than any other coach will give you. His worst offense is being the coach of a bad team put together by inept ownership. When the team was good nobody was saying any of this stuff about him.
So do I understand correctly that by your 1994 comparison that you are on the same page with Kawakami about Nellie being only days away from intentional meltdown and contract dispute? Because I thought that was pretty much universally rejected… At best his time table for it all to happen this month was off.

This could go very interesting….with hundreds of GSOMers calling about:
-JRich being traded
-EFFING Nellie off on live air
-ANOTHER trade proposal (confirmed by espn’s trade machine or whatever)
-Bugging Nellie about TK
-The Cuban lawsuit
-Morrow or Belinelli
-The thizz face of Anthony Randolph
-CJ Watson/all D-Leaguer haterage
-Magette/Watson/Jackson/Ellis haterage.
-What he thinks of GSOM?
I now realized, this should be a poll

I have to thank the Razor
for getting me to subscribe to satellite radio a few years ago. As for Nelson, you can count on anything he says to be totally self serving and a part of his ongoing effort to try to look as smart as he thinks he is. Why would anyone endure such BS from either of those puffed up egos!
CWebb is undoubtedly the answer but I forgot the question.
