Wow. Could knock LAL off the list of serious contenders -- which right now is basically BOS, CLE, ORL, LAL.

I have no love for the Lakers, obviously, but it's hard not to be a bit bummed about a potentially career-threatening injury to a player so young and full of promise. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery (and, down the road, a trade to the Warriors...?)

I dunno

I think it takes more than one dirty hit for someone to be considered a douchebag. Does Bynum really have a history of that kind of thing?

Plus, to think that “karma” (or “God” or whatever higher being you believe in) would be so vindictive as to punish people you think are douchy is …. well, pretty douchy.

That article...

…doesn’t really make it sound like that bad an injury. Is there somebody who’s said they think it could be career threatening?

by Zack Vank on Jan 31, 2009 8:59 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Not really.

I may well have overstated the severity. I guess we’ll know when the MRI comes back. Initially I thought it was the same knee he had disclocated, but it turns out it’s the other one. Either way, knee injuries are always worrisome…

Dang, The Lakers are our only hope for West coast playoff pride. Guess Portland will hafta turn it up a notch.

Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?
I noticed there's so many of them
and there's really not that many of us.

UPDATE: BYNUM OUT 8-12 WEEKS

Apparently, it was a serious injury. Bynum tore his MCL, so he’ll be out 8-12 weeks. Here’s the related article:
