No Thanks

I’ll pass on Livingston. I know we don’t have a true point guard, but the backcourt is already crowded enough.

I love Livingston

So I would do it.

I’ve said it before (as the guy who started the biggest Livvy thread of the offseason here), but here goes: I’m a hardcore draftnik and have been for years, and Shaun was the second-best PG prospect I’ve seen in the last 10 years, behind only Chris Paul.

He may be snake-bit, but he is an amazing boom/bust value for the right price, as a guy with the court vision to run an offense with his length. Have him guard SG’s and Monta taken on the PG’s defensively and have the 15th man be a rotating cadaver for leg parts for the both of them.

hmm
According to the report, Livingston’s release is more because of luxury tax reasons rather than his health. He had been attempting a comeback from a gruesome Feb. 26, 2007 knee injury that left him with a dislocated left kneecap and three torn ligaments.

Livingston seemingly had grown increasingly frustrated over his lack of opportunity, displaying disappointment over his nightly spot on the inactive list.

Just took a quick look at his stats, 5 assists in 25 minutes per game…? That’s downright great isn’t it? He hasn’t really shown much in limited time other than that fantastic assist rate…but its not like the warriors beed a pass-first PG on their team. Oh wait.

As much as I love what the Quiet Storm has done in the backup spot….his position may be better served w/a facilitating distributor type, as opposed to a scorer in Watson which we already have in spades.

"They can trade me," Bonds said. "I don't think they will, though. It's not like I want to be traded, man. I'm a Giant. I'm stuck here till the end."
