Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

"Though it's far from certain that the Kings will ever play a game in San Jose, things have apparently moved far enough ahead that the San Jose City Council as early as month's end will vote on a "memorandum of understanding" that would guide negotiations with any National Basketball Association team."

eww

And then we’ll start having “Battle of the Bay” games in basketball. I like how it is now, the Bay Area has one basketball team to root for. Unlike the NFL and MLB where fans in the Bay Area have rivalries with each other.

I’d rather we focus all our love and support fully into one team than have two teams with weaker and less hyped crowds. They are the Golden State Warriors after all, not just the Oakland Warriors. They represent the entire bay…. Imagine going to a game and the arena is filled as if it were a Memphis or Kings game? Not respectable.

My icon is a testament to the Dubs ability to play defense.

I agree with this. This will make the Warriors more accountable, or lose money.

Seattle Supersonics

I actually thought they would someday move to San Francisco. It would be tempting to root for the San Francisco Supersonics, especially when they have Kevin Durant on their team reppin the Bay.
