Enough is Enough
Honestly, who gets suspended in the off season?!? What was once an acknowledged but respectful and somewhat professional conflict of interest between Stephen Jackson and the Golden State Warriors has turned into a disrespectful, cancerous, and annoying sequence of events. After this suspension, there is no doubt that tension will peak with Jackson and things can only spiral further out of control. I think we all agree that the Warriors aren’t going to win a championship this year, however, I think we all want and have come to expect a fun and entertaining year filled with, of course, hope for another season. What I refuse to let the Warriors become is the laughing stock of the league. I can already see it as Sportscenter’s highlight "Captain stabs crew and jumps off ship."
At this point, I’m ready to trade Jackson for nothing more than cap relief. It is not like he has done anything productive so far. Granted, it is the preseason, however, has anyone seen the number of turnover this guy is committing?! Get rid of this talentless, cancerous ball hog and let our youngsters shine. A player like Monta Ellis may get pissed and unhappy about rumors regarding trades and such but he chose to drop a 24 point 8 dimes performance against the Lakers. Jackson, well he said F it and committed 5 fouls and a technical in 10 minutes. A line up without Jackson you ask? Check the boxscore against the Lakers last night. A blowout win with Jackson playing only 9 minutes.

not looking good
just read the article now, definitely caught my attention. Things between Jackson and the warriors are going to get real from here on out. Will the warriors be forced to move him if he continues to become detrimental to the team? IMO, what the warriors decide to do with Jackson will be pivotal to the franchise going forward, will be interesting to see in the upcoming weeks how this plays out.
I wouldn’t mind seeing him moved, but it has to be either for a quality player at a position that can help us (pg/pf) or for cap relief NEXT YEAR. Anything other then that will be unacceptable in my eyes.

I think what I said was that Baron Davis said that and said, “Ask anyone on the team.” My point was that he’s a team leader and a competitor, which is true. Why is it that so many Warriors fans are so petty? We all know, deep down, that Jackson was good for us up until now. I am well aware that his contract sucks, and he is unlikely to play as well as he has. Has he been a douche lately? Yeah. But so what? I’m a big boy. I can handle that. Apparently, some people can’t to the point that they have to use strawmen to fight even those who defend him even in the slightest. He’s not f’ing Dunleavy. He helped us and helped us a lot. He may still help us. Why be such a hater to someone who did a great deal for us and can still probably help us?

Get rid of...
Maggette AND Jackson. They both blackholes in our lineup. I’d rather watch our youngsters get all the PT and play with all the heart than some washed up players that truly dont wanna be here. Maggette gets the ball the head goes down and thats it…

Maggs is looking better and better, with Jackson most likely getting moved. He’s been a good sport, is a veteran and has great athleticism. You have to admit, he’s tough to stop. I’m fine with him off the bench and intermittently injured (seeing as when he’s injured, insurance covers him).

I don't know if I can take his poor defense, selfishness and bad shot selection
He doesn’t take a lot of shots that aren’t free throws but the majority of them are stupid mid range jumpers. Crawford was a good sport but does that mean he should have stayed?
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "Your a rookie"

I think Maggs is a better defender than Crawford. When Maggs is healthy and motivated, I think his defense isn’t too bad. He rebounds, too. Crawford NEVER played good defense.

But if he came out of bench and still the six man of the year for GSW

Before the preseason,
I only wanted to trade Jackson if we got equal or better talent, which would be very difficult with his contract and attitude. Now, after seeing our young team dominate WITHOUT him on the court, I am ready to see him go for just about anything. Preferably a PF sized guy, seeing as how Wright is likely out most of the season.

time to trade Jack … have him take a drug test for crack because the guy’s gone ballistic!

Yes, but is enough REALLY enough?
Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.
I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.
RANDOLPH: "I know. But sometimes, you gotta let ‘em know."

misapplication of the plank
If the W’s let SJax pouting drive them into ‘cap-relief’ then they get what they deserve. I’m wondering who’s doing SJax’s marketing but he hasn’t exactly enhanced his value around the league with all this (I really, really want a ring and am really, really close to break-down…).
SJax large-and-longterm contract is stuck on the Warriors who helped make it worse via extension. W’s need to man up and make a point that everyone on the team needs to perform, both on the court and at practice, those that do get minutes, those that don’t sit. Don’t try to burn the team when they can burn you, that is not play you much for the next 4 years of your 30-something career. At some point if SJAX continues the game, fines eat up his salary and he ends up in court for breach of contract. (thus negating the extension)
It seems to me that it will be easier for SJAX to do an attitude reajustment (just pre-season playing around, haha) than for a willing recipient be found for his contract. I think we all share his frustration with the patience needed with the ‘all change comes from within’ Warriors but frankly I think he sees the handwriting on the wall says reduced minutes and touches for him (any logical offense has the high-percentage guys taking the shots , and that’s not Jack…). I love his all around game and passion, but dude, quit stewing in your own juice and play ball. You didn’t bring San Antonio a ring but your teamplay helped, dig?

I think there are a majority of Warrior fans who feel
that Stephen Jackson needs to go for the sake of the rest of the team, especially all of the youngsters. They don’t need his negativity and selfishness at this point, Nellie has never suspended a player in his entire coaching career….not one single time until now!
That speaks volumes in my opinion…….so Stack-Jack can either step up to the plate and be a man and a professional or he can do everyone a favor and shut the hell up, rip up his contract, and then go anywhere he wants to.
