Let's BOO Stephen Jackson on Opening Night.

If people were contemplating booing Baron Davis, then Stephen Jackson has to get booed. What he's done to the team in the past two months or so is completely immature and he's just showing the reason that nobody wanted him and the reason that he was traded away from Indiana. Let's show Stephen Jackson that we can shit on him the same way he shitted on us. LET'S BOO HIM AT THE INTRO, AND LET'S BOO HIM EVERY TIME HE TOUCHES THE BALL!!! That is, if he is still with the team by that time or not suspended. Hopefully he's not even on the team by then. I'd even be fine if they traded him for a few extra basketballs that Curry, Morrow, and Azabuike can use to drain some threes in. Something that Jackson was never able to do with his flat feet, and his flat, knuckleball shot.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

No no no

This is one of the worst things that you could think of. Boo him so he goes off again and makes the whole franchise look like fools as if it doesnt already. If you do not want to cheer then dont, but grow up and dont pull this junk. All of you complain about this terrible FO of the warriors, but when a player feels the same way about it all of you complain. Ya he signed the contract extension so what who would turn down that money i wouldnt, maybe mark it up as another mess up by the FO. All of you should remember what he has done for the team and just let him go and not turn this into something bigger then it is leave it alone.

Here's why you boo the guy

“Any time somebody takes $150,000 from me, of course it’s going to change,” Jackson said. “If my mom took some money from me I’d still love her to death but I’d still be upset about it. And he’s not my mom.”

What’s he care about? The benjamins. His whole “I love these fans” emotional BS is just that. Now his actions are hurting the team, my favorite team, the Warriors. The team and fanbase that gave him a second (third? fourth?) chance. There are a multitude of other ways he could go about this (See: Al Harrington, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, etc.), yet he’s chosen the most childish, petty, destructive way possible. I seriously think that either he’s either really, really stupid or really smart. Either he’s so stupid that he doesn’t realize how unprofessional he’s behaving or he’s trying to lower his trade value so much that he can get traded to a contender (who knows he’s going to immediately come in and play hard) for pennies (think Matt Carrol).

You have been DFiBrillated.

by Dubs fan in Boston on Oct 13, 2009 8:18 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

He's stupid, but thinks he's smart.

Time he gets a wake-up call: if it’s all about the benjamins, then guess who has more — the organization. Eating his salary will not bankrupt this team. Remember that Chris Rock joke? “Shaq is rich; the guy who pays his salary is wealthy.” Same goes here: Jack thinks he’s powerful, but fundamentally he’s another dude collecting a paycheck. He works for someone — for US, actually.

I agree with Steinmetz, Jack has NO LEVERAGE and if I was running the team I’d ram that fact down his throat. Sure, he got his money, but that doesn’t mean he has any control over his situation (other than to harm it). They can bench him and destroy his NBA career, and wait until they find a palatable offer. In the meantime, send his ass home and keep him away from the team. If that means he sits for 1-3 years until he returns to “expiring” value, so be it. He’s going to cost us the $$ either way; we should avoid letting him be a cancer for the youth.

If you read his interview from yesterday, you can tell he doesn’t seem to get it. He says that he’ll still play somewhere if the Warriors send him home — someone will want him. Um, no. It doesn’t work that way. The Warriors can prevent him from playing another NBA game for the next 4 years if they’re willing to destroy their relationship with him. He started the problem; they can finish it.

And don’t think that their taking a hard line with Jack will bother anyone else on this team (except maybe Monta). Can’t you just tell that Jack is the guy in the locker room who never shuts up and acts like he knows everything? He must annoy the hell out of most of his teammates…

Bottom line: he’s already screwed us; there’s no point in trading him in a deal that makes us even worse. Sometimes there’s such a thing as “addition by subtraction”. The longer he sits and watches his NBA career fade away as he gets older, the better the odds he’ll consider a buyout. And that gives us money we can reinvest in our youth.

These days I’m leaning more and more toward the Spurs mentality: choose players based on character first, skills second. We have some good character youth here now (Randolph, Curry, Azubuike, Morrow — Monta is questionable, esp. if he’s hanging with Jack). Let’s avoid having Jack poison the chemistry, development, and attitude of those guys.

Steinmetz is wrong, though we all wish it weren't so ...

Jax is gonna get paid any way this ends – he could get a buyout and be a FA, he could get traded for another similarly paid player, or stays here grumpy or not.

Jax has the leverage to pull a Fortson, for four years. That’s a lot of leverage. He basically can hold the franchise hostage – no one will come here because we’re so F’d up and we’d have no cap room anyway. And he’s still getting his.

Bottom Line: He knows and the FO knows they have to deal him and the sooner the better because the situation only gets worse the longer it continues. Jax has the franchise by the balls and he’s squeezing down …

Anyway, Nice to find another admirer of the Spurs, now we just need our Admiral & TD …

you make some great points but i only agree with you partially.

Send Jack home right now, he isnt helping this team and is setting a bad example, but at the same time any trade even a year less than his’ should be made immediately. Jack has to go, right now he is just a powder keg in the locker room….

Dont boo him

This post is immature and is really stupid to be honest and if you side with the idea of booing him then you a immature to. The guy has done a lot for the team and you guys are forgetting that. He put up with a pretty bad season last year and like alot of you he probly has little faith in the FO so he wants out. The FO is so bad and incapable of trading him that he had to make it public so other teams were aware of the situation. If you dont like the guy then let it be known through silence when he is introduced so he gets the picture, but do not boo the guy. Im pretty sure that the silence thing wouldnt work either because to many people recognize what he has done for the team and applaud him, but please dont boo him you will just make the whole franchise look worse and it doesnt look that god now.

A lot of people do "a lot for the team."

Biedrins did a lot for the team. He helped that 06-07 team reach the playoffs and he helped the 07-08 team win 48 games. Biedrins also lived through last year in a poor situation, yet he’s not out here acting like an immature little brat. Lot’s of players help their teams “a lot,” but even though their teams play poorly, they live through it and try to turn that team into a winner. Stephen Jackson looks like he’s just trying to take the easy way out, and he’s acting like a spoiled brat in the process.

by ZaMzAm FiRe on Oct 13, 2009 9:26 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

Biedrins is 23 making bank and living the life. Jack is 30 reaching the end of his career in a couple more years. If by the time Andris is 30, he’s still content with playing for a losing team, he wouldn’t be the type of the type of guy I’d want playing for my team anyways. Jack is just going about it like such a douche, it’s impossible to route for him.

by VERY VERY BUSY on Oct 14, 2009 10:47 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

So being old and making money on a losing team gives you the right to act immature,

yet staying on a losing team and showing commitment trying to help, while acting mature is unnaceptable??

As much as I agree with not booing him, stopping people from doing it is like stopping the sun from setting in the evening. People were booing him during pre-season, they’re going to have his heart on a platter opening night.

I agree that it makes us look worse. Maybe because the Dubs have been such big losers, the fans have become petty. I don’t think there’s a reason to boo him. For YEARS he has helped us. Why do we have to sink to his level and be douches to him? He did help us. We can remember that instead.

I said nothing about hurting...

It’s just that usually when people say “for [insert time period]s” they mean many, many [insert time period]s. Especially when the time period is capitalized. Try this one: “I haven’t eaten in HOURS.” If you were to read that, would you think I had eaten just 2 and a half hours ago?

KG gave his all to Minny for YEARS. LeBron has given his all to Cleveland for YEARS. Elton Brand gave his all to the Clippers for YEARS. DWade and Chris Bosh have given their all for their teams for YEARS. Stephen Jackson has helped us for far less time than deserves the “YEARS” moniker. He helped us while he was here? I’ll give you that.

You have been DFiBrillated.

by Dubs fan in Boston on Oct 15, 2009 11:26 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Why dont you just stop supporting them by staying home?

As long as the collective bay area fanbase continues to line Cohan’s pockets, he has no incentive to change. Clearly he hasnt had to put out a winning team so far for that to happen.

If he’s on the Warriors, I won’t boo. Not because I even like him anymore. But anything that could affect his performance even worse hurts all his teammates, the ones who are still acting like they want to play here. If he gets traded, then yes, I will consider booing him for sure.

I think it is too late for that

Jackson is burning bridges. He’s already lost a lot of goodwill with the fans, the front office, the media, the coaching staff, and, I’d bet, the players. Players and coaches are still going to be professional, but Jackson will never be the “heart and soul” he was. That is gone.

I loved Jacks play, he’s been my favorite player since he got here. But standing up for him now is like standing up for your cousin who turns out to be a pedafile, it’s just impossible, there’s absolutley nothing you can say. No matter what he does from here on out, there’s just no going back for me. I am a firm believer that winning cures everything and IF (and it’s a big IF) we get Bosh or Amare, and Jack stays maybe I’ll get over this…. But there’s no going back to good ol Captain Jack, he’s just a distant memory now.

Let’s not pretend that he’s doing this to help us.

There’s a big difference between “team” and “Jack” and Jack has been very clear with his words and actions over the last month that he is only out for himself. Even if it somehow magically helps the org in some unforeseen way in the long term, it doesn’t justify Jack’s action. You can’t polish a turd.

Not hatin on you if you don’t, but I’d say 75% of the crowd booed at the first preseason game. Even more will on opening night. This reminds me of Armando Benitez a few years back with the Giants. Every time he came out to close he got booed like no other. Why? BECAUSE HE SUCKS AND NO ONE WANTED HIM HERE. Give em what he deserves.

We are known for being passionate fans

Not being doormats for immature, unprofessional players like Jackson. The Warriors fanbase gave him love and support like he had never received before in the NBA. We actually thought of him as a good guy, a changed man. And this is how he repayed the fanbase? I really don’t think booing Jackson would reflect negatively upon us as a whole in light of the way he has handled things. I think we have a right to be upset. Of course in the end a lot of blame rests upon Cohan and Rowell, but to dismiss Jacksons actions is letting him off too easy. I will be at the opening game, and at this point I plan on booing him, although my hope is that by then he has been traded or sent home until he is traded.

by Pearlsofwisdom on Oct 14, 2009 12:52 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

We gave him that love for what he was doing for us, not necessarily because he was a great guy. We all knew he was essentially the same guy in a new environment. The environment, for him, has changed. He’s the same old Jack, and we should have known. In the end, we want to win. He helped us and, if he chose to, could probably help us again. I wouldn’t be surprised, if he played angry this year and played well, personally. Did he deserve to be boo’d in the first preseason game? Yeah. But if he plays well, the boo’ing should stop. I don’t think he ought to be boo’d before a game. We boo him if he sucks.

Booing is what Jax wants!

Booing is only going to make the situation worse which is what Jax wants. If the FO feels that they need to get him out of here asap, we give him away for nothing that will improve the team Jax is leaving behind and most importantly, like a child throwing a tantrum, Jackson gets his way.
Why not just ignore him, you don’t need to applaud, but you also don’t need to draw more attention to him by booing him at home.

“I don’t want these young guys to try to follow me,” Jackson said. “I can’t be a role model to guys who make the same amount of money as me. … I think everybody is responsible for themselves, and that’s how it should be.”

It was always about the money with him. Boo BOTH THE MANANGEMENT AND JACKSON.

All booing will do....

is make it harder for the coaches to play Jackson. I know most people just want him out and gone, but booing can only make things worse. Once Al Harrington made it public he wanted out, everyone in the league knew we were between a rock and a hard place, that’s why we ended up with Jamal Crawford. Did we need Crawford? No, but at least we had someone who could play.

Booing will make Jack un-playable. If he’s un-playable, he’s un-tradeable, which makes booing him worse than just dooing nothing at all.

Jack is a good player and we can land something for him. Why squander the opportunity? Let him play, hope he does well, put up some numbers and we’ll all boo his a$$ when he’s wearing another teams jersey.

hmm

Don’t know that I will boo the man. He’s acting like an idiot for sure, but he’s still a Warrior and I can’t boo the team. I’d consider boo’ing him if I saw him out of his jersey in plain clothes, but probably not, he might start a fight and he looks like a scrapper.

I see the warriors like I see the military, can’t boo one without boo’ing em all. Just not gonna happen. Out of uniform, booooooooooo!!!!

at least

if the entire stdium continues to BOO him throughout the game, and he walks off the court, then ESPN would show some much deserved Warriors highlights for once. probably between NY Giants and the Brett Favre. or the yankees as it is always yankee season on ESPN.

please

trade Jackson!!!!!!

by gswfan13 on Oct 14, 2009 3:39 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

the smarter move might be

not to play him at all

boo-hooing or not, his stock can only go down from here on out – he’s not going to play with passion and he’s not good enough to play well without it, the whole league knows he’s not injured and him playing poorly and getting booed is only going to drive his trade value down further

if he’s still on the roster, have him inactive, in a suit – take his playing time away and give it to the other two dozen guards we have who want to play spirited ball and thereby diminish the circus that will assuredly ensue when he’s on the court until we can move him along …

by hardcore on Oct 14, 2009 4:08 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

isn't that exactly what he wants?

By inactivating him you go from him having his stock to killing off all the trade value he might have. I’d rather call his bluff and play him. If he really wants out he’ll only have two choice. Completely tank and make it so that the warriors have to get rid of him. Or play his ass off to show that he’s still got it and hope a time near the trade deadline makes a move for him.

A Sonics fan without a team... but after 6 seasons now of GS Warriors season tickets have convinced me to adopt the boys from Oakland.

by mcwalter44 on Oct 14, 2009 4:27 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

one guess which choice he makes -

he’s already shown what he’s going to do when he gets out on the floor this preseason … it’s not about calling his bluff, it’s about not giving him a chance to damage his value further

what this guy craves is money and attention – we can’t take back the money, let’s not let him take all the attention. The league knows he’s healthy, and when motivated can be a very good #3-4-5 option on a team with strong veterans. No other team would touch him imo anyway, we gotta hope for a Cleveland or similar team that is on the edge of contention and wants to take a chance on that 4yr albatross for 1-2 yr of being an elite team. Maybe the Magic, Cleveland, don’t know who else but …

we have depth at the wings, hell I’d argue we may even get BETTER with him not playing regardless of the shinanigans he’s pulling – if he plays, the guys on the floor and on the bench will be wondering what he’s going to do next rather than focusing on winning. At least keeping him in a suit gives the FO the semi-control over what he does and doesn’t do on the floor. We’re screwed either way, but in a suit he can’t screw the game up further imo.

+1, my sentiments exactly

He’s not going to help the team from here on out, so no point in pretending — and ultimately frustrating the deserving youngsters who would be riding the pine behind his ungrateful ass.

Bad behavior should not be rewarded, unless you want it to be repeated.

Warriors fans should do the same thing Lakers fans did a few years back with Kobe pulled his shenanigans. Boo him when he is first introduced (which I participated in), then cheer him like any other member of the team, because for better or for worse chances are he’s going to be on the team for at least the better part of this season.

Baron Davis didnt betray us

He simply took more money from his hometown team. I have no hard feelings about him.
Jackson took more money, then complained when he knew this would happen and now he’s a mess.
He’s like a nephew who is a drug addict living on the streets and you help him out of the mess, put him in rehab, get him cleaned up, get him an apartment, then after everything seems fine, he comes and takes a couple thousand dollars from you to buy drugs again.
Thats how I feel jackson treated us. We got him out of indiana, did an image rehab for him, gave him alot of money, then he turns his back on us. I will boo him at all the Warrior games i see i go to this season.

no

Stephen jackson owes us nothing. He has played to the best of his abilities both during the playoff run, the almost-run, and the crap year last year. What you describe is not a good analogy. It’s not just you though, there are a lot of people claiming that we “rehabilitated his image.” Stephen Jackson did that himself, by playing well and fighting the urge to attack fans every night for a couple of years. Good for him. The people to blame are, once again, management. Don’t blame jackson for reverting back to form.

your right...

He did do it himself but the reason he should thank the coaching staff and i hate to say it but the FO also is, for giving him the ball and the GREEN LIGHT to do whatever he wants to help the team win. Without the decision to play him right away and even the decision to trade to get him, stephen jackson would not be in this situation playing with all this money and making demands to be traded to a playoff contender. There are a handful of players that can do what he did for the warriors all they need is the GREEN LIGHT and the coaches confidence, look at hedo turk he was given the ball and he preformed, or even tho you cant compare them i think a good example is john salmons right when he was traded he sparked on the bulls. So nothing that he did was special or something that no one else couldent have done, you can say “but his stats, but his stats”, the man has the ball most of the time he should have stats like that.

Booing as an instrument of fan power

we fans have only a few options at our disposal that might influence the decision making of our failing front office. as warriors fans, we’re not going to boycott this team, despite the course these clowns are taking us. expressing collective disgust is another, legitimate expression. but we should be intelligent agents:

booing Jackson would be a sign from the fan base to the F.O./owners that we want Jackson gone, for anything we can get. There have already been discussions about how bad those options might be (fat Eddy Curry…)
it makes a lot more sense to let Nelson play jackson unhindered by fan rejection, reminding the league that the guy is valuable, and trade him at our discretion as a franchise.
true, people will probably boo him. but that doesn’t make it smart fan strategy

by panhandlelegend on Oct 15, 2009 9:01 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

There is nothing wrong with Booing....Ever

There is nothing wrong with anyone who pays money to attend games and boo’s or cheers for anyone, for any reason.

For me, Jackson request to be traded and that is fine but he didn’t request it, he demanded it publicly. He’s disrespected the franchise and fan base by destroying their trade leverage. My example is a break up. It’s one thing if your GF wants to leave you for another team but to bad mouth you and say you have a small dik (true or not) is disresectfull, rude, offensive, wrong, immature, etc. etc. Jack fits this profile.

Most of the fans loved him with everything he gave us, good and bad. And he made a lot of bone head mistakes out there. The FO may have some to blame with his desire to be traded, he can say all he wants about them. But he still has not thanked or appologized to the fans. He’s purely interesting in himself which will always be wrong in the eyes of any fan base.

He’s never been and never will be the best player on any winning team. When we made the playoffs, BD and JRich, and the year after it was Monta and BD. Jackson will always be a role player. Good one at that, but should never be the star of you team if you want to win. He needs a serious reality check.

Those in attendance, are paying his salary that night. If they want to boo, so be it. Personally, i hope someone throws a beer on him.

At this point he is a CANCER to the team

It doesn’t matter whats going on behind the scenes. He signed a 3 year extension that doesn’t start until next season. Does anyone here not feel like we would be a top 4 team in the west next season(when his extension kicks in) and the seasons after with the players having this season to grow and build chemistry together. Jackson, Monta, Morrow, Randolph, Curry, Biedrins, Turiaf, Azebuike, Wright, Maggette, and maybe CJ and Law. C’mon folks if Jackson would have kept his mouth shut and stayed the leader of this team we(as long as we sayed somewhat healthy) would be a playoff team this season and no doubt a 4 or 5 seed the next. But no, Jackson decided to give up on these teammates and now wants to go somewhere else or he’s gonna be an immature little brat and act up. Just watch, he wont last 2 weeks into the season b4 we either give him away for pennies or send his ass home ala tinsley/starbury/thomas. Im actually glad he’s gonna lose pt cause Morrow is a beast and he needs all the minutes possible!

I'm confused...

I’m legitimately confused.

We as fans are sick of the horrible owner and GM in place.

We as fans were clamoring for a big man this offseason.

We as fans are tired of losing.

Jackson comes out and says put a winner on the floor, or I want out… and the fans get all butthurt and cry about a lack of loyalty.

If anything, we should be thanking his ass for putting pressure on our crappy management. If more players boycotted the way this team is run, I think we’d have a better team on our hands.

Y’all can boo him all you want, but I’m gonna sport my Jackson jersey with pride on opening night.

by slapchop on Oct 17, 2009 1:32 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Jackson did not say "Put a winner on the floor, or I want out,"

he said that he wants to go to a different team where they are winners, or the Knicks. He doesn’t want to help the Warriors become winners, he wants to go somewhere they already are winning. He wants the easy way out.

Flame extinguisher.

No, you won’t ‘BOO’ me to my face, internet toughster. Don’t tell me I don’t understand the situation, as you really have no clue what I understand. There are two sides to every story, and fact is that Jackson was a villain long before the media portrayed him one in this battle.

If anything, Jackson is just proof of everything that’s wrong with this ridiculous franchise. Say whatever the hell you want, insult him, but he fleeced the Warriors for millions, and was lead to believe that they would do something to put a winning team on this court. Not a young team, not a sketchy team, but a team that day in, day out, has a chance to win.

Now that the ownership and management has failed to do so, he’s like “Get me the hell out of here!” It’s the EXACT same sentiment that the warriors faithful fanbase has echoed for the last 10 years, but when it’s a player, it’s unacceptable. You can say whatever the hell you want, but there’s no right way to put your GM on the spot.

Perhaps you people should stop the whole “Pity us, poor Warriors, Jackson is bailing on us when we need him the most, boo hooooo.:” and start with the “Why is our management so stupid that they’ll waste cap space on a 3 year extension on a notoriously volatile player who has proven he can’t handle the responsibility that comes with being the face of a franchise?”

Don’t hate the player, hate the game, and if I was in Jackson’s shoes, I’d fleece management just like Nellie’s been doing for the last 3 years. Collecting paychecks and dumping the responsibility on his assistant coaches, like a real boss.

I respect the fact that Jackson doesn’t want to play for a notoriously horrible franchise that has done nothing in the last 2 years to follow up on their 2007 playoffs success. Period. He should not be content, and neither should any of us fans. Every year we get excited over the same old stale product while being fed the exact same MO, “We’re going to be good in a couple years, just have faith.” Then management trades away the people that we should be getting excited about because we put jackassed contracts in the hands of people who don’t deserve them.

He should not be content, and neither should any of us fans.

Acting dishonestly, publicly throwing a tantrum, refusing to acknowledge anything good that anyone has done around you, failing to recognize the consequences of your own actions, and otherwise being a brat is not the same thing as “not being content with losing.”

As fans, we are not content with losing. None of us likes it one bit. But, we don’t get to demand trades. We have two choices: 1. suffer or 2. leave. Jackson had a similar choice: 1. take an extension and suffer with us while we rebuild or 2. leave, either by trade or free agency. Jackson made the choice not to leave when he signed his extension; he had the option to leave and didn’t take it. Like any of us that are here and suffering he has the right to criticize decisions he doesn’t like, but if he does it in a way that makes the suffering worse for the rest of us he’s going to hear about it. His very public trade demands and confrontations with the team are clearly unprofessional, unproductive, unwise, and unworthy of any defense.

There’s a lot to like about this team now. Hearing Jackson (and others) fail to recognize that and seeing him actively work against it is going to upset people.

Think of it this way: Everyone here knows Rowell is a horrible manager and should never have made any of the decisions he did last year. Think of every criticism of Jackson as also a criticism of Rowell for undermining Mullin and signing the extension that makes any of this an issue. Jackson might be reclaimable, or at least redeemable for something vaguely useful. Rowell should be collecting unemployment checks.

by toddaverth on Oct 17, 2009 3:35 PM PDT up reply actions   1 recs

I can’t disagree with anything you said. I agree with all of it. I guess where I’m coming from, is that I can’t blame him for his decision, and I’m grateful for anything that puts a spotlight on this effed up organization. I don’t like that he’s demanding a trade, and generally being a douche, but we all knew that the organization was playing russian roulette when they started negotiations with an agent-free Jackson. It was a fleecing waiting to happen. The exact same mistakes Mullin learned from, the new GM is making.

I tend to think he’s a regular guy put in the spotlight where his faults and strengths are both magnified, most of us would do a lot worse and piss off a lot more people than Jax can.
I think all NBA players make too much money for their contribution to society so I can’t hate on Jax for taking whatever they give him, and I think he’s too candid to be lying about the direction the team is going versus what they told him would happen so I support him speaking out as it gives us an inside look at the shortcomings of management.

Don't Boooo, BOYCOTT THE GAMES or Booo Cohan

For 1, you have to be at the actual game to boo and I will not be attending any games this season. IF YOU ATTEND THE GAMES THIS YEAR, YOU CAN"T SAY SHI- ABOUT THE WARRIORS FAILINGS. 15 YRS of the same garbage yet we’re still feeding Cohans/Rowells pockets? The one rare moment in time this team succeeds, they banish the contributers (Mullin, B Diddy, J Rich) ?? And got NOTHING in return? And how bout Belinelli for George? You really want to support such a management that is clearly clearly clearly clearly clearly inept to run a team. But keep going to the games, keep supporting this shi- FO, keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results. Warriors have sucked for so long because fans have never demanded better. Isiah got booed out of the city in NY (real east coast fans), and now the Knicks are better for it. So if you’re going to go the games and if you’re going to boo, bring signs and booooo the hell out of Cohan/Rowell/Riley.

For 2, you SJAX haters are really missing the point. Many (remember Kobe?) upon many players have demanded trades before, it’s nothing new. It is a symptom of the environment. No free agents want to play here because they distrust the management’s ability to do anything (remember Amare?). So quit making S Jackson the scape goat for why the W’s suck now. Last time I remember, he along with Baron brought this franchise out from the depths of suckness.

by RowellMustGo on Oct 20, 2009 5:03 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Heres the solution and it's pretty easy....

Send Jackson down to the Warriors D league affiliate. When he fails to report or stops showing up void the contract . Its that simple.

Worse case he stays away from the Warriors and stays in shape. No "Humbling experience " moment for him so not even going there.

Jaxs gotta do what’s right for him and the Warriors have to do what right for them.

Also, it would be nice if Jax stopped insulting a true warrior by saying he is one. There is a few countries we can ship him to that we are currently at war with. Go there and server, until then your not a brave warrior just and over paid entertainer who is not living up to his contract.
